To ask what the secret is behind the Maltesers box?

Just that really: what is the box design all about? Why is there the circular hole? What are the perforated quarter circles for? Is it all some advanced alien technology or am I just too dense to understand a basic cardboard box?

And for some reason malteasers always taste better out of the box grin

This grin

The design stops them falling out when you chuck the box across the room to your husband (and vice versa) because you're to lazy to get up and pass them properly!

What I was thinking, they taste much better out the box 🤤

Poptasmagorical Sat 25-Jan-20 19:43:38

Is that true, Nottobesoldseparately? I wouldn't know as I've never tried sharing them grin

People share Maltesers?

Poptasmagorical Sat 25-Jan-20 19:47:57

Not in my experience, but I'm told it happens. It could be an urban myth.

TheTrollFairy Sat 25-Jan-20 19:48:30

Mine don’t need to be share proof either

QueenOfOversharing Sat 25-Jan-20 19:48:29

Share maltesers 😮
Are you quite mad???

MusicToMyEars800 Sat 25-Jan-20 19:49:54

Sharing maltteasers confused whoever heard of such a thing?? grin not in my house.... it’s either get your own or have none grin

MsChatterbox Sat 25-Jan-20 19:50:32

The holes on the corner make it easier to access perferation and the hole in the middle makes it easier to lift up perferated section. Now wanting malteasers grin

Nottobesoldseparately Sat 25-Jan-20 19:51:02

I buy the big boxes. actually DH buys them for me, he's a keeper

I don't like sharing either but even I have to admit that eating one of those to myself is a step to far so I allow my lovely husband a small handful before I make him chuck them back at me! grin

Dunno but it clesely has some sort of holographic thing where you think there are about 3000 left and then there's only 5.

Abouttoblow Sat 25-Jan-20 19:54:45

Why do you never get the delicious little random chewy one any more?

i`ve always wondered about the weird inner lid thing too.

bobstersmum Sat 25-Jan-20 19:58:32

Thank you very much op now I need to get out of my comfy pj's and go to the shop for Maltesers!

Missingthesea Sat 25-Jan-20 19:58:36

The circular hole must be so that you can tip just one out at a time, though I don't know why you'd want to do that...grin

MusicToMyEars800 Sat 25-Jan-20 20:02:14

I also want a box of malteasers too now grin

Poptasmagorical Sat 25-Jan-20 20:09:20

I'm very sorry to those who are now pining for maltesers but unable to get out to buy any.
I'll think of you whilst I eat mine wink
