TO NOT WANT FUCKING AMAZON PRIME?

(87 Posts)

I did not even click for it! And it appears impossible to unsubscribe!

This happened a couple of years ago and I eventually found a phone number that worked, but, hey, it was a lot of work and why should I have to go to a load of trouble?

I do not want FUCKING FUCKING Amazon Prime, I do not want it in a boat, I do not want it on a train, I do not want it in the rain...
angry

And yes yes it is my fault for using Amazon, maybe I should give up Amazon.

They've been bollocked for this several times by whatever ombudsman covers this stuff - it's happened to me twice. Have u found the number to call to cancel?

Moussemoose Thu 02-Nov-17 20:48:17

Not in a hat, not with a cat, I'll break my computer with a bat!

Fuck off Amazon Prime. The bastard thing has got me a time or two. You can unsubscribe.

I love amazon prime and I found it very easy to unsubscribe smile

Amazon prime rocks.
Telly, music and next day delivery.
The only thing that annoys me is it costs only €20 in Italy vs £69 here..

YABU in that cancelling Amazon Prime is very, very easy. Log on to your Amazon account, go to your Amazon Prime account and click on 'End Membership'.....

RavingRoo Thu 02-Nov-17 20:52:22

Sounds like you subscribed to get free delivery on something and then got too lazy to cancel. It’s not their fault you haven’t contacted them to cancel. It’s a great product and really valuable for the time poor like me.

confused

Why did you unsubscribe if you love it?

user1487194234 Thu 02-Nov-17 20:53:58

Just a general warning I got a scam email about this today Almost fell for it ,was about to click to unsubscribe when I realised

McPie Thu 02-Nov-17 20:54:33

Your account, your prime membership and cancel it. it got me once and that's how I sorted it.

Graphista Thu 02-Nov-17 20:54:53

Ravingroo nonsense! LOADS of people have been caught out. It's all over mn, mse etc has been for years and they've done features on watchdog about it too

I selected it by mistake last year, its easily done the way their screens are set up, but found it easy to unsubscribe so just had the free trial month. Cant actually remember how I did it, though I think I printed the instructions at the time.

Having said that, DS got a year free wih his student bank account, which seems to have an extra couple of months as it doesn't expire till Dec, and it has been v useful.

We email him a link of something, and if its on prime it appears at the door the next day. We will definitely miss it when his free subscription expires.

Tummelthecat Thu 02-Nov-17 20:57:07

Do you like it in a house? Do you like it with a mouse?

LaurieMarlow Thu 02-Nov-17 20:59:21

I've subscribed by mistake at least twice, maybe three times. They're manipulative bastards.

It's easy to unsubscribe though.

So difficult I had to type "Amazon phone number" into google and then it was only a massive box at the top of the screen shock I don't understand how people sign up to this by accident or can't cancel it.

ThreeFish Thu 02-Nov-17 21:20:55

Off topic, but thanks for this OP.
I must remember to cancel mine. DH and I both pay for it, and they offer a household option so we only need one.
Just cancel it us my advice for what it's worth. If you don't want next day delivery don't have it. Simple.

rachelandmike77 Thu 02-Nov-17 21:22:17

It’s very easy to unsubscribe - you can just use their live chat and you’ll receive the cancellation confirmation within minutes

Oblomov17 Thu 02-Nov-17 21:24:42

Subscribed last week. Went into my account and unsubscribed this week. Seemed easy enough.

Allthewaves Thu 02-Nov-17 21:26:15

log on to account and unsubscribe - it's easy

LivingDeadGirlUK Thu 02-Nov-17 21:27:16

I accidentally signed up and unsubscribed twice. It wasn't difficult but they do hide the unsubscribe option a bit (not as bad as the Graze website though, I was looking for how to cancel that subscription for hours!).

Then we had a baby and now we have Amazon Prime and use it all the time, although yesterday it was because my partner wanted to buy a kilogram of Malteasers...

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira Thu 02-Nov-17 21:27:26

So many people say this - it did use to be a huge pain in the neck to unsubscribe but it’s really easy now.

Oysterbabe Thu 02-Nov-17 22:24:06

Yabu. Amazon prime is amazing.

Dizzybintess Thu 02-Nov-17 22:27:19

Not even to order green eggs and ham?

StatueInTheSky Thu 02-Nov-17 22:29:42

if you both have amazon prime and use amazon music do be aware that if you "downgrade" to the household option it's only the main account holder who has access to the music side of things.

I didn't realise this and so dh has to sign in on his phone with my details which is fine, apart from the fact that the app then blabs about every last thing i order on amazon.
