Please share anything mundane, funny, sweet you name it Smile

I'm in denmark, started my day by letting out the cats, only they didn't feel like it, so they sat in the doorway a loong time and now it is freezing.

I'm planning on washing my curtains as they have been taken down due to renovating the living room.

Oh and I'm going to shave my whiskers today, suddenly appeared at the sides of my mouth Hmm.

Yes you are right I'm bored. Please tell me about your interesting lives.

I woke my hamster up for a cuddle this morning because he's cute and fluffy and he smells really sweet. He was cross with me initially but then he remembered he loves cuddles Grin

I'm off to work in a bit (work in a school).

Went to Waitrose this morning and it was busy but I got the few bits I needed.

I'm just about to make a cup of tea.

Hope everyone has a happy day Daffodil

theoriginalmadambee · 17/03/2020 10:55

Happy day to you too @outofyourhands 🐝

I'll trade cat pics for one of your hamster Smile.

Today I am taking all of the tins out of my stash and I'm going to write on them with permanent marker pen; the use by date, and contents in case the labels fall off.
I'll be indoors for 3 months, so I need to pace myself and ration the exciting jobs Grin

outofyourhands · 17/03/2020 11:00

@theoriginalmadambee Here you go! Not a great pic as the little bugger won't stay still for more than a second Grin

Dropped ds off at school and had yet another terse talk with his teacher about the reading books being sent home (too easy and he is reading and comprehending much more complex stuff at home for fun. Finding school books vv boring and not paying attention to them as they're not challenging him at all. Very frustrating).

More coffee and toast for breakfast then also woke my hamster up for cuddles. He too was cross but soon cheered up when he realised I had a couple of nuts for him. He is very sweet and fluffy.

Bit of light housework then off to work in a care home as agency staff. Haven't been to this one before so have yet to see what sort of state the ppe and hand gel is in. I'm not expecting much tbh in light of current circumstances. Everywhere is running low.

I might leave a bit early and have lunch in a coffee shop on the way to cheer me up over frustrating teacher. (have to get train then bus and there's quite a nice coffee shop in the station).

Don't finish until 8pm so home around 9pm. Dp is making chilli but I'll probably just have a bit of fruit and go to bed when I get home.

BillywigSting · 17/03/2020 11:03

@outofyourhands he's absolutely adorable! Grin

theoriginalmadambee · 17/03/2020 11:05

@outofyourhands

Not v exciting. Decorator came round to give a quote for some painting and been to M&S Food.

Sat on the settee procrastinating over the housework now.

Having my eyebrows/eyelashes sorted later and going to see my friend. She lives opposite a pub so we might go in.

theoriginalmadambee · 17/03/2020 11:12

@Thelnebriati i have so many things I ought to do like your cans, it's just the getting round to it .

@BillywigSting and you think, you could get away without posting hamster pics Grin?

Re. Your ds reading, been there. We gave our dc more challenging books to read at home, but they get bored at school, if they aren't challenged a little.

Dropped DDs at school
Took car for a drive (diesel, they need long drives to keep engines efficient, but we aren't going anywhere at present!)
Went to shop to buy beer.

Now home and procrastinating!

BronzeSilverGold13 · 17/03/2020 11:13

I woke up at 7 this morning to go to uni... woke up to a message to say my lesson was cancelled. I then text my mum to say have a good day and went back to sleep! Such an exciting day 😂 I will probably visit MIL later but it's a lazy day for me today! Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Currently cuddling up to my two dogs while my 1 year old twins sleep. Enjoying This Morning and about to make a cuppa and find some biscuits.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 17/03/2020 11:15

The books my DDs bring home are awful, the school just invested in a load of ReadWriteInc, and insist each has to be read every night for a week.

Bloodybridget · 17/03/2020 11:16

On my way home after going to hospital for bloods, never seen it so quiet there! Before that, hung washing out in the garden, put another load on, did meal plan and shopping list with DP, will go to supermarket later in the hope of getting most of what I want! Also need to contact a few people to cancel various arrangements Sad.

aloealoealoealoe · 17/03/2020 11:16

Early here so in bed waiting for dh and ds to wake up.

DS's school has been cancelled until the start of May at the earliest and he'd already been off two weeks sick so will be homeschooling today.

Hopefully I'll get my delivery of grow lights today so I can start some spinach and lettuce, we live very remotely and I won't get to a shop for a couple of weeks now.

Trying to be cheerful, nobody is even doing outside play dates here so I'm looking at seeing nobody but dh and ds for the next couple of months, I'm starting to feel a bit panicking and weepy.

May even take school up on their offer to deliver school lunches to the house just so I get to see someone. Sad

Sparklingbrook · 17/03/2020 11:18

I seem to be watching Geri Halliwell painting fruit. Confused TV remote is on other settee. Sad

AdoraBell · 17/03/2020 11:18

I’m off work, holiday, and I’m sitting in a car dealership waiting for the MOT to be done. Later we’re taking a dog to the Vet’s. He has a lump on the side of his face, clearly not painful but no idea what it is.

Princessfaffalot · 17/03/2020 11:19

Love this thread, I’m craving a bit of normality and a glimpse into how everyone else is doing is lovely! Dh is at work today, he’s an electrician in a large shopping centre so can’t work from home and so far it’s business as usual. Kids are at their dads this week and their school is still open so he’ll be doing all the drop offs pick ups. We live with fil who is 75 and in the high risk category as he has chronic lung conditions but he will not self isolate and is continuing to go to the pub daily as usual so what can you do? He has a drink problem, gets to the pub for opening, drinks until 4pm then rolls in absolutely pissed as a fart and passes out until 7am when he gets himself up and dressed and does it all again! It’s sad really, he lost his wife 13 years ago and has never been the same since. I should probably think about getting some beer in for him incase they do close the pub as I don’t think he’ll be able to go cold turkey, he has the shakes in the morning as it is. So I’m at home all on my own for the next few days (dh does shifts, 4 days on 4 days off). Well, just me and the dog who needs a walk and then a bath because for some reason he smells like cheesy feet Hmm. I did order some boots from Dorothy Perkins but I’m not sure whether to go in to get them as I’m also slightly higher risk as I have epilepsy!

PenguinsOnParade · 17/03/2020 11:20

DH got up to make sure kids were sorted for school, they walk to their schools by themselves now so after they left he just settled down on the sofa and let me have a nice long lie in.

I got up around 10.30 and just had toast with jam I made yesterday for breakfast and a coffee.

Getting ready to brave a trip to Home Bargains as I need deodorant, colour catchers and dog treats. This may be the worst decision of my life but it's so much cheaper than at the local shop (and can't get colour catchers there at all, DH is a nightmare at mixing loads so everything is safer when he uses them LOL.)

mylittleavalon · 17/03/2020 11:22

Took 8 month old out for a walk after she got breakfast all round her face and on the floor. Fed two ducks, saw three dogs, and five seagulls and two human beings. Back home for a cuppa while she naps xxx

thequeenbeyondthewall · 17/03/2020 11:25

Working from home.

Also looking for a new fire place. I want a white stove suite but electric.

Can't find one under £400. Or they all have wood on the top. I needs to be all white b m ay be with a bit of grey.

Also going through my wardrobe in a minute to find stuff for eBay.

Rock n roll.

Just after some advice please 😇 my baby is nearly 8 month old her dad my (ex fiancé ) walked out and left me pregnant to then get his current partner pregnant 2 month later. When he was with me he used to sniff coke and that’s what came between us as I’m against it . He only wanted to know and play daddy when my baby was born but I demanded him do a drug test as her safety is my priority he then asked me to attend mediation which I did and the whole time all I’ve asked for is a drugs test. He then said he wants to take it to court as I wasn’t being fair ( basically refusing drugs test ) he’s then went to his solicitor saying I’m jealous of their relationship when seriously I’m not 😂 I just want my baby to be safe but I’ve been told he’s currently taking pills how can this be allowed him demanding to see her without doing this

Pyjamaface · 17/03/2020 11:31

We've been isolating since Thursday when DS had a 2 day lurgy, then I got it, then DP just in time for the 2 week advice so we're back to day 1. We are very cabin feverish and DS is struggling with only the back garden as he has ADHD so mountains of energy to burn.

I've just made a packed lunch for a walk because we need to get out. We've got fields and walking trails near us so we're just gonna dive in a hedge if we see anybody.

DS is just finishing some school work before we go.

Attempting to make no yeast bread of some sort when we get back

Also looking at Scout badges DS can work on from home

Finally, I'm hoping that a big walk will help calm my restless legs

TheGirlWhoLived · 17/03/2020 11:31

I’ve walked into town to go to a contact lens appointment after dropping the kids off at school (not a euphemism!) and risked the bus back. Had a lovely subway sandwich for brunch (spicy italian flavour) and now debating whether to clean the kitchen or to go and play sims...
