I’ve just watched The Rest is Football on Netflix. I know a lot of people don’t like it but I’ve quite enjoyed it and especially liked Alan Shearer talking about the half time show 🤣

You could tell last night that Alan didn’t care one jot about the final and had stopped caring the second it wasn’t England there 😭🤣

If we're banning Argentina from the next world cup, can we also ban Paraguay who were similarly disgraceful against France (who thankfully eliminated them). Guess where the Paraguayan coach is from? That's right - Argentina!

I think it's a way to hook N American fans who are used to a half-time show as part of the Super Bowl.

What an absolutely hilarious ending to the tournament. We all owe Spain a debt of gratitude!

Messi has been a wonderful player, notwithstanding he didn't turn up last night, but the tournament needs this to be his last one because there's just too much desire from Fifa to fix things in his team's favour otherwise. Sad that it would come to this. Social media is having a blinder though!

We do not need to "hook" Americans-it is the most watched sporting event on the planet by millions.
We do not want a half time show.

People who want to watch football. Players who want to play.
Appalling from a player welfare point of view.

I do not need to see a tuneless children's choir and Miss Piggy for 30 minutes to generate revenue in a grubby cash grab.
