Argentina should be disqualifed from entering the next World Cup as a punishment for their disgraceful behaviour. Otherwise they'll just repeat more of the same and spoil it for everyone. Their fans are also disgraceful racists shouting out vile abuse at black players.

What on earth was the BBC's Dan Roan spouting on the News just now? Is this the BBC/FIFA script? So Argentina's tactics were from the start too defensive so that 'Messi didn't get his chance to work his magic', and it 'wasn't till Argentina were down to ten men that Messi had a chance to shine' ... 'but on balance because we're the BBC and we have to pretend to be unbiased the better team probably won'??

Argentina consistently play dirty/dangerous football and the reactions of some of the players at the end of the final where just unforgivable, would you ban Argentina from the next world cup or would you just ban the individual players? Personally i’d like to see the whole team banned!

I think it's unanimous that we all supported Spain. They deserved to win. Argentina basically cheated their way to the final and couldn't even congratulate Spain properly. The number of fouls from Argentina was disgusting to say the least. I think they should have been disqualified after the stunt with the flag and chanting about the Falklands at the end of the England match and the match between England and France to decide who should play Spain in the final. As it was, the match between England and France was probably the most exciting of the entire tournament and a masterpiece in how an international football match should be conducted. Both teams played a sporting, open game and both were playing hard to win but after the game the cameradery by both sides and the good natured support of the fans made it a pleasure to watch from beginning to end.

Was anyone apart from Argentina supporting them?

I’d like to see a replay of Messi crying after the final whistle.
