Questions about becoming a call girl.

highclasshooker · 08/04/2008 16:32

Thinking of becoming a prostitute, I want the fast track route I don't want to stand on street corners.

I have no experience whatsoever so am looking for careers guidance.

I want to fit my hours around the school day, I need to be back to pick ds up from school at 3ish so no weekends or evenings.

Is there a demand for day time call girls?
I don't want to work from home (for obvious reasons) so where should I operate from? Do I just book a plush hotel? are there implications in using a hotel? would I need to pay them commission etc?

Can I get a career start up loan from the bank? I have no funds so would need a loan to cover clothes and personal grooming, brazilian wax etc

How do I advertise? Would a website be sufficient or do I need to advertise in specialist magazines?

Do I inform the tax office?

I don't have any sex qualifications, will this hold me back? I have never even read the kama sutra.

How much should I charge? I was thinking of around £250 for a couple of hours does this sound reasonable?

Oh and I really don't want to get a criminal record, I am a little confused about the legal implications. If there are any legal bods around please advise.

TIA

out of interest, what car would send the right message??

A pick up truck ??

A VW camper with a bed in the back?

claricebeansmum · 08/04/2008 17:05

LOL expat

WigWamBam · 08/04/2008 17:07

"Can't you start at the bottom and work up?"

SNORT!

highclasshooker · 08/04/2008 17:08

But do they have the required work permits expat? We had to turn lots of eastern europeans away from the recruitment agency I used to work for because their documents weren't in order and I don't think sex worker qualifies for a work permit under the department of trade & industry guidelines. I am however all above board and legal.

Eastern european girls are so common now, I'm looking more at fitting into a 'niche' market I just haven't quite decided what that 'niche' is yet.

NorthernLurker · 08/04/2008 17:09

Bother those Eastern Europeans coming over here and bagging all the clients

Kewcumber · 08/04/2008 17:13

"I have no experience whatsoever" - presumably you do have some experience unless you are in a very expensive (and short-lived) niche market...

dizzydixies · 08/04/2008 17:15

how does your dh feel about it or does he not know?

do you not think he might mind when someone starts calling or the police bring you home?!

in spain they stand at the side of the road but only the best girls get to sit in the plastic chairs

pointydog · 08/04/2008 17:21

Can you get geeky call girls? That might be an untapped niche. Not that I'm saying you are geeky, highclass.

invisibilises?

DuchessOfNorksSnowSpecial · 08/04/2008 17:25

Will all your clients be youngish, good-looking, rich, clean, non-violent & free from STDs? If so, fill your boots up. Personally, I'd rather starve than receive a facial from a smelly, overweight old man in a cheap suit. But each to their own.

If you're going to charge properly you'll need to take credit & debit cards so do register as a business and declare your tax & VAT.

expatinscotland · 08/04/2008 17:42

Newsflash, highclass: People from EU nations DON'T NEED WORK PERMITS (excepting Romania, Bulgaria and Albania).

That's why about 1m of them have arrived in the UK since 2004 to work.

madamez · 08/04/2008 17:43

Well, if you are serious, the best thing you can do is get hold of a book called IN Good COmpany by Kay Good (Fusion Press, still in print AFAIK). It gives you all the relevant information and some sound advice.

Want wealthy clients? You need to get a whip and chains, a gimp mask and make a dungeon in your cellar. You can service MP's, top business men, TV presenters and members of the royal family.

ladylush · 08/04/2008 18:19

The best comment was the start at the bottom and work your way up.

Most defo a troll. Quite amusing though.

Sparkletastic · 08/04/2008 18:23

The La Redoute advert up there on the right shows a perfect outfit for a lady of the night (or early afternoon so as not to interfere with the school run).

HonoriaGlossop · 08/04/2008 18:44

thanks pointy

was going to comment on 'invisiblises'

That's the most outrageous thing on this thread!

highclasshooker · 08/04/2008 18:56

Before I go any further with this idea, I really need to establish whether I would be breaking the law or not. There is no way that I am prepared to risk a criminal record or Gaol. Is Cod about? does anyone else know? I see so many adverts in the local paper that I am assuming it is legal providing you are paying taxes etc.

I have had another idea which will mean that my previous experience in recruitment will not go to waste. How about if I open my own recruitment company specialising in call girls? It will be sort of like a brothel but not a brothel? I could provide on the job training and when servicing business clients the girls could do a bit of typing as an added extra after the sex? Would this work? I don't see the Office Angels and the Adecco's of this world providing this type of service.

I really need to earn some good money fast. Hmmm the recruitment agency idea is really appealing to me now.

captainmummy · 08/04/2008 19:08

Being a prostitute is NOT illegal, but soliciting (ie suggesting to men that you are available for sex for money) is. So is running a brothel, unless you are in holland.
Good Money Fast. Hmm, rob a bank? Sell a kidney?

Judy1234 · 08/04/2008 19:08

You could start an escort agency but I don't think it's legal in the UK if they are offering sex whereas if you just sell your own services (other than on the street) it's legal.

If you can offer special services you may get higher rates.

princessmel · 08/04/2008 19:20

Extra typing after ROFL.

TROL TROL TROL TROL

princessmel · 08/04/2008 19:21

Maybe I meant

TROLL TROLL TROLL TROLL

I am going to write a business plan tomorrow and get legal advice before I proceed.

Thanks for all your advice I am really excited about the recruitment agency idea. I was thinking of "Slutty Secretaries" for a name but couldn't really imagine that on the high street so thought maybe S.E.C.S which covers both categories, what do you think?

I am sorry if anyone was offended by this thread, I think the sex industry can be dangerous and degrading for those that are "forced" into it but I really want to do this so it doesn't really apply to me. I would of course carry out stringent recruitment checks to ensure that I am not inadvertently recruiting employees who aren't 100% with their career choice. Obviously I would ensure that I did not breach any sex discrimination legislation when recruiting, I was going to target the backpacker community, perhaps display adverts at trainstations etc I imagine that the jobs might appeal to Aussie backpackers who are looking to brush up on their shorthand/sex skills whilst they are on holiday in the UK.

If the business proves successful I could franchise it, target it at SAHM's and I am in the right place for that target market!

Lots to think about!
