Really quick question! Should I.... yes or no?

I had a job interview last week and they seemed very keen and said they would let me know for definite by the end of the week.

Not heard yet.

Now normally I bide my time but I am impatient and they were so positive that they would let me know quickly.

Should I call the HR dept and see what's happening? Or not...

yes, they said they would call and I would mention this as the reason for your chasing. it won't make you look bad, just keen.

yes that's the bit I'm shit at. I always find out I'm earning less than everyone else but twice as good. eg I got made redundant a while back and they know that so not a top bargaining position!
