Just devastating. DrLouiseJMoody’s wife has died very suddenly and out of the blue. There are no words really, we send so much love to her, their families and all who love and miss her. Her thread is here… Bless her, just so shocking and dreadful for her loved ones, we keep them in our thoughts..

We are so glad DrLouiseJMoody accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug. We want to make it a real tribute and celebration of their lives filled with love. Will you join us?

She was a huge Star Wars fan (the plaque we are getting where part of her ashes will be interred is Star Wars themed in black and gold!). So really as much as possible please

We are wondering if it would be nice to try and create scrabble tiles for the initials? if anyone would like to try.

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off VERY carefully when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! The last thing any of us want are squares collapsing once the blanket is with Louise.

When posting, it will be the Teddington address, please make sure you add your name and who the squares are for, and if you would like to include a card for Louise please do, we will pass it on.

We will confirm last posting as soon as we are confident folk are underway

We're a Star Wars house too so will definitely have a go at some Star Wars themed squares. I have a green in my stash bag, think its Drops pistachio, that would be perfect for a Yoda embellishment.

I cannot begin to say how touched I am (in the best possible way) by this. Scrabble tiles J would LOVE. I bought her scrabble cufflinks one year, our Border Terrierist is called Scrabble, and it turns out she kept all our Scrabble scores in a box (usually named things like "Scrabble Champion (her) vs. Me Ginger", and so forth. When we first got together, she actually asked me if I'd like to go to NYC with her spelled out in scrabble letters (and so we did).

And, of course, she was a huge Star Wars fan (the ones from the 80's but all of them she loved!). I bought her a remote controlled BB Droid thing last year (I have no idea what it does other than roll around but she liked it), and after I jokingly said "if you loved me you'd get me a Millennium Falcon cake" she actually had one commissioned! Then I also got her a lego Millennium Falcon, and endured Star Wars movies for her.

Hey Louise, I know you from elsewhere & would like to contribute a square. I can knit & crochet, so will attempt something.

I'm a bit confused about the scrabble tiles: they should be a dark colour background, not realistic cream, right?

And do you want/definitely don't want metallic versions of gold & silver? Because I have a glitzy stash which includes metallics & sequins. How wild do you want to go?
