Just devastating. DrLouiseJMoody’s wife has died very suddenly and out of the blue. There are no words really, we send so much love to her, their families and all who love and miss her. Her thread is here… Bless her, just so shocking and dreadful for her loved ones, we keep them in our thoughts..

We are so glad DrLouiseJMoody accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug. We want to make it a real tribute and celebration of their lives filled with love. Will you join us?

She was a huge Star Wars fan (the plaque we are getting where part of her ashes will be interred is Star Wars themed in black and gold!). So really as much as possible please

We are wondering if it would be nice to try and create scrabble tiles for the initials? if anyone would like to try.

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off VERY carefully when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! The last thing any of us want are squares collapsing once the blanket is with Louise.

When posting, it will be the Teddington address, please make sure you add your name and who the squares are for, and if you would like to include a card for Louise please do, we will pass it on.

We will confirm last posting as soon as we are confident folk are underway

Here are my squares which will be posted tomorrow.

I tried to follow the pattern that bookbook kindly posted for a sew on ampersand but it was a disaster!!
It ended up looking like a snake that had half shed it's skin whilst trying to tie itself in a double knot!!

In the end (and after much undoing and redoing) I managed to create my own design for a bobble stitch ampersand which I am pleased with.

And congratulations to all the other crafters - your squares are lovely (and don't have wonky, squiffy sides like mine ).

Fairy - your squares are lovely. And as to the squiffy sides, if you look closely at my photos you will see that mine are pinned out.

I'm sure they'll all be fine when they're sewn together. Those are the biggest bobbles I've ever seen! Fantastic!
