Hello all

Some stunning work, especially Spindelina

I have gone off crochet in a big way Hmm I've got 2x 6" for Chernobs and that's it! Shock Hope it will come back.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 09/03/2019 13:22

😍😍 Spindelina! Stunning blanket!

I'm only onto my third 12" square 🙈. World Book Day costumes and doing a bathroom refit simultaneously hasn't helped but as of today squares are my priority as I'm very aware the deadline is looming!

Pic of squares so far. Basket weave square is half way there.

Well done everyone, loving the blanket pics to keep me going!

Hard to follow that beautiful blanket - Spin is a master!
MrsJ - we all have our ups and downs, you have already contributed to other things - thats why we are a community , and we pull together :)
thatwould - ooh , lovely squares !
I have started some more 12" squares - in the hope of doing another full blanket, (so the colours are all the same palette ) , but with the fall back of sending just the squares if I run out of time . I am just on with #7 . This week is looking particularly stay inside -ish due to the weather !

Loving those colours and patters bookbook. I don't think I've seen those patterns before. Especially the centre one, middle row....

Spindelina · 09/03/2019 19:28

book I'm recognising a lot of Polly Plum in your work at the moment! TQ I think the one you are looking at is Spiked Punch.

TwitterQueen1 · 09/03/2019 20:03

Ah thank you Spin Smile

bookbook · 09/03/2019 20:40

its actually called Larksfoot TQ PATTERN HERE really easy too! - but yes, alot of Polly Plum Spin Grin
I decided to try and make one of every pattern I had put in my Rav favourites , regardless, and just use the same colours in the same order. Not totally sure I have 20 different ones, but I can keep browsing!

bookbook · 09/03/2019 20:42

and I noticed on fb a bit of a frantic call for more squares, so will up the tempo if possible!

VintageTeacup · 09/03/2019 20:45

Oh dear! I seem to have let this slide this year. I will crack on now and hopefully get a good few done.

Spindelina · 09/03/2019 21:15

Sorry for the misidentification! (Spiked punch is nice too... and Larksfoot is now in my ravelry favourites Grin)

TwitterQueen1 · 09/03/2019 21:27

win / win Grin I now have 2 additional squares to work! Thank you!

MrsJonesAndMe · 09/03/2019 21:45

We had a bit of a panic about squares yesterday. We do this. Every. Year. Gin

Whole blankets aren’t due in until a month after squares which we’ve never done before but folk kept asking for longer. But it adds a whole new dimension of Confused

But we always worry. It wouldn’t be right without it!!!

MadisonAvenue · 11/03/2019 17:13

I’ve just packaged up some squares for you, only 6 inchers but there are around 50. I’ll get them sent this week along with a couple of Little Hugs.

VintageTeacup · 12/03/2019 14:27

What beautiful blankets.
I've just received a lovely little package from Wool warehouse so I shall make a start this afternoon.

bookbook · 14/03/2019 22:47

Those blankets are gorgeous - such lovely colour combinations
hooking away here - nearly finished #11 , so over half way :)

MadisonAvenue · 15/03/2019 21:01

They're gorgeous book, I can't wait to see them all together.

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/03/2019 13:49

Can I be really cheeky and ask does anyone have any links to 12" squares that look good worked in one colour? I've got nearly 200 peskies to deal with on my blanket so I want to minimise any further sewing in.

I've looked on Ravelry but even searching by '12" square' and filtering for DK brings me up loads of patterns that are 8-9" in DK and 12" in worsted.
