We have heard the dreadfully sad news that annandale’s husband died suddenly in February. Mental ill health is such a cruel and devastating illness. Bless his heart. Bless them both. We send annandale our love and are so sorry for her loss. She and their children are in our hearts and thoughts.

We are so glad that she has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can. There will be love crafted into every stitch. Annandale’s thread is here… if anyone would like to post condolences.

So we are now asking for help once again. We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) Thank you so much if you can help. If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread and PM us with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, etc, we can help you with all of it.

Thanks

Star For personalisation...
In terms of personalisation - my husband was very sporty, he liked cycling and walking and rowing and cricket and tennis so anything around those would be wonderful. He especially loved planning our walking trips, with multiple maps to hand. He also loved reading and always wore glasses so anything bookish would fit him. We had daffodils at his funeral because it was in March and because he always enjoyed spring flowers.

Squares to be six inches please. Use 4mm needles or hook. Make sure all ends are very securely sewn in. No blocking please as it makes squares harder to join.

Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

When ready for posting, it will be the Teddington address, if you would like to include a card for annandale, please do, we will pass it on.

Sending so much love to annandale and all who love and miss her DH xxx

Witch I hope all goes smoothly!

annandale I hope you're doing okay. I've only just seen your roses, how beautiful!

I just keep telling myself it will be fine! 😜

I did make it to the post office, although I think I omitted to say they were mine 😊 It's the parcel with random granny squares, with these ones wrapped separately.

More Brew and then I'd better get the mini witches from school

jet they're beautiful. I must say, I love the colours being used for this blanket.

Witch You'll be fine, I'm sure.
We did a house move in 24 days seven years ago, from appointing a solicitor and arranging a mortgage to completion (a new build and the house builders bought our old house so pretty straightforward), and that all went smoothly despite me being in a ridiculous panic the whole time.
Just keep your coffee making stuff and some choccy biscuits close to hand Flowers

Well, we're packed. We carefully kept out the tea and coffee but then packed the mugs 😂 DH managed to get some disposable ones though so crisis averted.

It WILL be fine 😜

Can you not just stay there and be carried out on the mattress? Grin

Hope the house move has gone well Witch , good luck in your new home
( That does remind me of our last house move - 34 years ago Shock - we only moved a few houses away , so carried most of the stuff. DH's best friend at the time carried our mattress on his head Grin )

LOL book that's reminded me of when our neighbours moved in shortly after us. The lived around the corner, which worked out as being four doors away, yet had a company in with a huge removals truck which drove the few yards between both houses Grin

We used professionals to move us across the road a few years ago. It was down four flights of stairs, which is why we paid up. They thought about not using a van at all, but ended up loading the van, doing a u-turn, then unloading the other side.

I am totally jealous of your wool room :)

Witch I'm pleased that thewool survived the move. A wool room - I could fill one as I look at the bags in the lounge, dining room, cupboard! I've told eldest daughter that I want her room as a craft room as it gets the morning sun. She'll need to move out first!

Iwant I put a bookcase (one of those Ikea Billy ones which is almost ceiling height) in my son's room last year. He already had one in there and I thought I could use the other for storage, not just for me but for him when he's home for the holidays, but he had a huge hissy fit about it and dismantled it.

He's now finished his degree, is moving back home at the end of the month and is taking a year out to take a break from studying and to earn some money so it looks like I'm going to have a bit of a wait before I can put it back in there - but I will one day!

A wool room sounds fab. Glad you're in ok Witch.

I'm grovelling as I haven't posted my squares. They'll go first class tomorrow. Top square is meant to be a countryside spring walk/view.

Okki that's a lovely square - beautiful spring walk, country side, blue sky, hill, daffs, sun shining....everything you would want; perfect.

Witch, well done! It's so stressful moving house, isn't it? Worth it especially if you get a Wool Room! I only have a Wool Bookcase, but I gaze at it with love every time I pass it!. I think we may need a picture as most of us have nevereven seen a Wool Room Grin I hope you get much joy from it!

Evening all 😁 It's all very well having a wool room but I haven't set foot in there since I unpacked my wool. Apparently I need to unpack saucepans etc first 🤔
