Is there a space where I can rest my bouncy birth ball for a bit please?

I have started mat leave for real today (as in DD has gone to nursery school so I'm all alone in peace) and I'm sitting, watching period drama and crocheting squares for DutchOma's blanket.

I can only ever manage a couple of squares because a/ I'm a crap crafter and b/ I have an inconvenient job that requires me to work far too hard so I never have very much time. I've always wanted to spend the day sitting and knitting and here I am!

There most definitely is! Happy Days :)

Just seen a plea for crafters and donors for a blanket on fb, but can't find it on here. Can someone help me please? I have recently taken up knitting and would love to contribute.

PastaandCheese · 11/02/2014 19:18

Just attempted to send a couple of pics of my year bomb. Hope it arrives ok. Thanks for the impetus to have a go, I never would have dared to do it if you hadn't laid down the gauntlet! Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/02/2014 07:46

Loved it yegods!

yegodsandlittlefishes · 15/02/2014 09:57

I don't know how it ended up as a bag. It was intended to be a big blanket/hanging but my laptop died so I couldn't use a pattern. A few too many stitches and not enough time to redo meant it curled up around the edges, so I just went with that! Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/02/2014 09:12

I swear the best things just happen like that Grin

You been back? Any sweets left?!

yegodsandlittlefishes · 16/02/2014 12:48

Hope to fit in a walk today between making a rainbow birthday cake and b'day girl arriving home! Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/02/2014 13:06

Yegods - you need to check out our Woolly Hugs Facebook page Grin

yegodsandlittlefishes · 16/02/2014 13:51

LOL! Congrats to the winner for the fabulous statue adornment - inspired! :D
Thank you for the fun, ladies, and runner-uppership. :) (I don't want to give my MN identity away on facebook too blatantly, so won't comment, hope that will be ok.)

HoggyTruffle · 18/02/2014 19:52

Thank you for the runner up yarn bomb prize! The resident chocolate hoovers have helped me eat the prize. Grin

yegodsandlittlefishes · 18/02/2014 19:57

Thank you! Mine arrived today as well. I've come away to the sea and left it behind though.

yegodsandlittlefishes · 20/02/2014 10:26

Can anyone share a link to a good croshet pattern for a lily in/on a 6" square? I have a waterlily and lily of the valley and I meant the other kind (not cala lily). Ideally with a yellow stamen centre, then dark pink, light pink, cream edge to each of 6 petals. I am itching to get started on one and I can almost design it in my head but the size of the petals makes it a bit daunting.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/02/2014 06:50

Ah sorry yegods

Morning :) Brew

yegodsandlittlefishes · 26/02/2014 07:59

Morning! No worries. I made a lily up and it turned out alright I think.
