Ooh no, never knit and drink, esp if you're doing a complex pattern. i've lost count of the number of carefully crafted items I've had to unravel as I've gone wrong somewhere after a glass or two of wine.

Strangely, I find the same thing happens when I combine complex knitting with Only Connect

Plain knitting only when drinking or thinking is my motto

Are we too early for mince pies/mini stollen bites? I happen to have a box or two if the stollen things stashed away, i highly recommend them.

Oh yes, that will do lovely. I think this weather calls for a mulled cider, but I may end up with a wavy pattern in my next set of squares.

Mulled cider? Mmm that sounds nice, what spices do you use? Saw a recipe for hot sloe gin the other day, I'll be giving that a try over Xmas
