The first thread is nearing the 1000 post limit due to such amazing support.

This thread is a continuation of that thread which can be found here

They look stunning! I am planning on expanding my repertoire from graany crocheted squares to something else! Buying a cheap ball of wool to practice on.......

Moodykat · 15/03/2012 22:39

I did PM someone about the address to send my square too but must have been missed. If I'm not too late, could someone please PM me? Thanks!

Ladyface · 15/03/2012 23:14

I think you have received my two blue Harris tweed stitch knitted squares. There should be a "from LF" in pencil on the envelope!

KnottyLocks · 16/03/2012 06:27

LadyFace, aha!
Yes there was but didn't want to say just in case the LF were someone's real name. Thanks for solving that for me. Smile Lovely squares Star Thanks

Moodykat - I have just PMd you, Knotty may have done too. We have had such problems with PMs, I haven't received one from you, when did you send? This worries me, the bloomin system is so unreliable! But you definitely aren't too late Thanks

Away to my PM box

You know Knots, I'm still not getting your PMs as emails, not since 6th March. I think I may have had one or two PMs from you since then...?! Grin

I've just sent off my knitted squares this morning and the lady in the post office thought I was a yarn bomber!
She got quite animated on the subject, having seen knitted telephones etc, on the telly.

I didn't want to confess what a struggle knitting a few small squares had been, never mind the complexities of knitting a telephone, so didn't go into great detail about what I really had been knitting. So now, she's no doubt imaging a parcel full of knitted booties for horse statues and leg warmers for lampposts.Smile

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 16/03/2012 13:02

I need help please. I joined ravelry to have a nosey at the patterns and everyone elses handiwork, tried to look for patterns for squares or something that I can make.

Please help me, links, details anything. I promise not to swear at the pattern when I get stuck lies

PurplePidjin · 16/03/2012 13:08

Jax - use the advanced pattern search. Filter for knitting or crochet, then free, then has photo using the options on the left of the screen.

Then just keep going til you spot something you like. A lot of the best squares are intended as dishcloths, so have a look there

Simple squares are good simple squares are essential

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/03/2012 13:47

MrsDanverclone - Did you see the Olympic yarn bombing recently? It was so utterly fabulous!

Tis lunchtime my woolly friends. Am just off for a rummage through the PMs

Here I go.........

MrsDanverclone · 16/03/2012 15:15

I didn't unfortunately. Envy
I did look at yarn bombing on the internet when I got back, to see what she was talking about, it looks fab!

Maybe a Mumsnet themed yarn bombing?

Knitted smiley faces, Greggs pasties and huge judge pants anyone??

ExitPursuedByABear · 16/03/2012 15:23

Saw the yarn bombers on the One Show the other day and thought of all you lovely knitters.

Just looked at the photos - how fabulous.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 16/03/2012 15:27

Olympic Yarn bombing is here

Love the idea of the MN version!
