No - just knotty said the owl & the star were particularly lovely. I just like seeing what everyone has been up to :) Links would be good though :)

Knotty - thank you :) That's very sweet of you! What balance of colours have you received for the blanket so far?

Report
trumpton · 15/03/2012 20:32

www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/owl-pot-holder I added 4 SS to each row to make cast on 34 stitches.

www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/shooting-star I sewed some fine sequins to the trails.

Thank you Knotty if you could put photos up I would be grateful.

Trumpton - that was the Owl one I was eyeing up! I was just waiting to see if Knotty felt light or dark was more needed. I'll do a different one :)

I did him in dark grey ( Debbie Bliss shade 34 Gunmetal grey) if that helps you with a colour choice. he was easier than I thought.

They are rather lovely Trumpton - very clever, and I love the twinkly bits, well done you Smile

They are there now, with Idris....

No - sorry, I wasn't very clear - I meant I'd do a different design :) I bet he's lovely in the grey (might do him for myself!). There are quite a few of 'him' on Ravelry on blankets, jumpers etc. He is adorable.

What colour did you do your shooting star on?

I've done a couple of plain squares - I'm just looking for a 'special' square for Lawrie and can't find one I'm happy with. I think I am trying to put 10 million words and 10 million hugs into one square. We shouldn't need to be making this blanket :(

Oh they are lovely Trumpton :) Both of them are FAB!! They look a lovely brown on my screen - not grey at all?!

Knotty - thank you my lovely Thanks

Shooting star was DB Rich Purple Shade 32. Yes I know exactly what you mean....I spent ages looking for nature type squares. I settled in the end for Owl, Bamboo, Shooting star, leaf , a double cable and a seeded square. Thank you for putting photos up. They are actually in a dark grey but the design shows up better in your photos. The sequins were from some Galaxy yard that I used at Christmas.

Ok either Knotty's camera is fucked or my laptop is Grin They both look exactly the same shade of brown. A lovely brown.

I had to stick them under a bright lamp to try to get the pattern to stand out enough for the phone camera to pick up. That's why they aren't the true colour.

Ah - of well, one minor way in which the laptop isn't fucked. It's a bit of a shame it's not a 'real' colour - it's lovely :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/03/2012 21:22

Hang on I shall see if I can enhance the colour from here! Give me two ticks Smile

Umm ! The shooting star was grey as well . < mind blank moment >
