I've just heard the sad news about Magic8ballhasstheanswers leaving 6mo twins and a 4yo Sad

If anybody would like to show their condolences, post here and we'll organise it. I'll take on construction again unless someone else would like a turn?

IvySedai (who messaged me to let me know) is happy to co-ordinate so PM's from Donors and Crafters needing a match to her please.

Previous squares were 6", knitted or crocheted. Blues, pinks and purples were the most popular colours. Debbie Bliss Cashmerino or Rowan Cashsoft DK (links are just the first ones I found on google) It's also available in John Lewis.

Lastly, was there anything in particular that Magic liked and could be incorporated in the design?

My beautiful wool arrived today, thanks so much to my donor, you've picked lovely colours - one a peachy pink and the other raspberry pink.

Off to feed the kids, then I'll get cracking, I can't wait Grin been looking at everyone else's for inspiration, they're really good.

BearGryllsBra · 25/08/2011 16:42

Grin Knotty, like Dobby the house elf. Free!

BearGryllsBra · 25/08/2011 16:43

By the way Knotty, I am actually crocheting, not spending all my time on here honest.

KnottyLocks · 25/08/2011 16:44

That's multi-tasking, Bear Wink

KnottyLocks · 25/08/2011 16:45

I'm desperate for this wool delivery now. Should be here already.

Only thing that'll keep me out of trouble Grin

DutchOma · 25/08/2011 16:49

Right, the last letter square finished. I've uploaded pictures to Flickr under Dutchoma37, they are not brilliant at the best of times. I tried to get them onto here with a link, but it failed Sad
What do you want me to do next? I can do more letters, teddy bears, or plain (textured) squares. I am planning to do three teddies to tie onto the blanket, not in Debbie Bliss, Rowan yarn. I figured it did not matter too much, because it could be washed separately

100years · 25/08/2011 17:10

I've managed to make 6 squares :)

I think I will stop now as I'm getting a bit low on wool, so don't know what I would be able to do for another one. The pic of the six I've done are all on my profile if you want to look. The last one was one that was supposed to be from a pattern to make a 6" square but ended up only about 4" when I had finished so I had to improvise the outside couple of inches.

100, six squares? And there was you thinking you wouldn't get even one done! Star

On my profile now. I thought an Oma could do it if 100years could do it. I'm not as old as all that. Grin

purplepidjin · 25/08/2011 18:02

Oma, I never had any doubt that you would thoroughly earn your Star Grin thank you

Just waiting for my wool to arrive from my donor and then I can get started.

DutchOma · 25/08/2011 18:54

Pictures on Flickr are actually quite reasonable. What would you like me to do next?

KnottyLocks · 25/08/2011 19:03

Oma, they are gorgeous Smile

GAH!! Oh I'm having a right time with Cafeknit.com, where I ordered my wool from. I ordered and paid last thursday and have heard nothing - I've emailed and left phone messages and still nothing.

Is anyone else having this problem? My knitter (SongBird) is waiting and I feel like I've let her down :( :(

rubycon · 25/08/2011 19:24

I received the wool this morning from Vajazzel - 3 squares knitted done and will be posted on Saturday.

lydiathetattooedlady · 25/08/2011 19:37

Beautiful squares oma!
Is anyone waiting for yarn that their donor has ordered from me? I have one lot that there has been a complication with a card but ive been unable to contact the donor! Please pm me if you think its you i have your address so will be able to confirm, your surname begins with D.

gapants · 25/08/2011 19:39

pinkthechaffinch and oma they are all lovely squares. If you have patterns would you mind PM-ing them, or you can email me if that is better? Let me know and I will PM you my email address.

Everyone deserves a star.

pinkcupcakefairy · 25/08/2011 19:56

Has anyone else had problems with laughing hen. I ordered wool for my knitter 1st thing on friday (b4 9am) and it hasn't yet got there - feel really bad that its a whole week later and still no wool.

PinotsWolefCubs · 25/08/2011 19:59

pinkcupcake, I know what you mean!

100years · 25/08/2011 20:20

Lovely squares Oma :)

Yeah purple. I'm glad I was able to do more than one:)

I could do a couple more butterflies but not attach them if you think you would be able to attach them to a square if you wanted.

ThisIsANiceCage · 25/08/2011 20:26

I used cafeknit - ordered today and have already been told it's been despatched.

'Tis favouritism.

It's not your fault it hasn't arrived yet Pinot! It will hopefully come in tomorrows post. It being a little delayed has just given me extra time to practice with crap wool I had.

Tsil · 25/08/2011 20:35

The glove - they sound like the colours I picked, I may be your donor. Do you live in a place beginning with C?
