There is irony in me starting this second thread for you lovely Blanket Makers, as I'm the least crafty person, but I'm doing it to help Pidj Smile

LAdies - I don't knit but wondered as you are all so absolutely fabulous I wondered if you had seen this appeal by Sands?

trumpton · 22/06/2011 21:44

Downloaded and will knit one and ask MIL (88) to knit one as well.

purplepidjin · 22/06/2011 22:18

I can't knit, and crochet for Lisa's Stars already, plus I've pledged a dress for Count the Kicks which will need making once it's won...

I can however recommend PoundStretcher acrylic DK, £2.99 for 5 balls Grin

It makes good tassles...

Knitting, I've had a look and it's both quicker and cheaper to drive! Happy to meet at the station, or do you have any free parking suggestions?

I drive a bright green 1970 Beetle so I'm considerably easier to spot when with car! Grin

KnottyLocks · 24/06/2011 13:19

Wotcha Grin

Have PMed you Pidj and Piste re Meet I. Have family arriving soon as DS1's birthday weekend and his party Sunday...14 of 'em Confused

But I have wine.

Have had stuff back from Winston's Wish and will be in touch with them again on Monday - not a chance in hell today.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/06/2011 15:38

you'll need the wine!

My DS's party is next Sunday - Paintballing - i'm hoping I don't have to join in!!

I've replied to ALL of your PMs!

OP posts:
purplepidjin · 24/06/2011 16:59

PM received and understood, will be there Grin

How many are coming? Is it just us?

KnittingRocks · 24/06/2011 20:15

Hi purple, I have another MN friend in Guildford so will ask her about suggestions for meeting - don't expect we'll manage free parking but will see how much we'll pay for town centre car parks etc. or if there's anywhere else she'd suggest Smile.

purplepidjin · 24/06/2011 20:33

Park/meet at Spectrum then decide if we want to go into town on the bus (£1.80)?? Or it's a 20ish min walk Smile

whydobirdssuddenlyappear · 27/06/2011 21:10

Pidj, those teddies are sweet!
Do you need a hand knitting any more?

KnottyLocks · 28/06/2011 13:09
