There is irony in me starting this second thread for you lovely Blanket Makers, as I'm the least crafty person, but I'm doing it to help Pidj Smile

Another vote for Winston's Wish.

If we decide to go with them, shall I give them a ring to talk through our ideas?

Runner up prizes! Nice idea.
Now, be careful that you're not taking too much on

See? Unanimous! Go for it, wonderknots!

Tiny teddies take less than an hour each, I can do one in each of about 8 colours

Just got off the phone to Winston's Wish. I'm about to email them the details and some links so that they can get their fundraising team are having a look at our ideas. I spoke to two very lovely ladies who were excited by the basic idea.

Right, got to make this happen in some way.

I'll keep you posted.

purple, I can get to Guildford by train and am child free for the next few weeks if you fancy a meet up and some help with knitting. I can bring my needles and you bring the wool and we can sort out some teddies Smile.

Let me know if you're interested. I'm going slowly mad with boredom so would love something worthwhile to help with.

Oh and fully support Winston's Wish, they helped my friend's family and two small children so much when she died 10 years ago.

The MumsNet Cuddle Blanket is now 4'x3' with 2 rows to go.

I have a screaming headache, a wisdom tooth coming through with associated spots up my right cheek, feel sick and have to do it all again tomorrow for 12 hours. Oh, and DP is out for the evening so no cuddles. Please may I have some sympathy?

Grin at the tassels and The Lady - more likely to be jeans and a copy of The Guardian!

I will, however, be carrying my gorgeous new Cath Kidston knitting bag (birthday present courtesy of a lovely friend!) Grin.

Sending lots of sympathy to you purple - wish I could help with the crochet Blush. I do want to learn, but will not badger you for a lesson next week as it may delay our teddy making Grin.

My tiny teddy pattern takes about 20 minutes on a good day so I might just badger you for knitting lessons Bear

I should be fairly easy to spot, I'll have lots of wool and will practice my sheepish expression Wink

Oops just realised how ungrateful that sounds! I shall blame it on the fact that I'm trying to ignore myself having a tantrum because I won't let myself go off work sick Grin
