Are there any objections if I use the leftover wool from the Edgar and Rindercella blankets to make something for Blondes? I've got loads! Anyone with leftovers feel free to pm me about either sending it on or sending more squares :)

I like your DS Grin he apples logic in a sensible manner

I describe crochet as "knotting bits of wool together to make pretty things"

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 06/06/2011 11:54

He also thought the blanket would be a more apporpriate size for a teddy, based on what I stuck in the post Grin

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 12:32

Right, this is not a comprehensive list because im rubbish things have got a bit manic this week and I'l lost track!

Big fat gold Star s for:

Niecie
Initials NR in Gravesend
KnottyLocks
JulesJules
Bumperlicioso
ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits
ClareOB
AliBubbles
BushMcBush (don't worry, it's gorgeous!)

mistlethrush · 06/06/2011 12:34

Blush I didn't put a note in mine!

KnitterNotTwitter · 06/06/2011 12:44

No note in mine either - cream envelope (posh one left over from wedding invitatiosn!) Five grey squares.... Sorry!

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 12:50

I have all the envelopes saved for reuse skinflint so will check in a mo...

Please bear in mind (no pun intended) that there's 100 squares per blanket, we're on the third, and there's at least 40 people knitting/crocheting. I might lose track somewhat Wink

I have posted 4 squares out to knottylocks.

My little, local post office is staffed by two female gestapo and a nice chap.

The stompenfurher (spelling) who I saw today took great delight in loudly reading out "Ms Knotty Locks" to her colleague.

Please let me know that it has arrived.

I put a small card inside but was unsure if my squares are being used for Blondes or another blanket so just put love from me inside.

Hope this is ok. thank you for letting me participate. X

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 13:28

Keep, imagine their faces if it were addressed to Miss P Pidjin... (that's my address on the envelope)

I've actually explained to the Posties round here what's going on so they're being wonderful about making sure that if it's got my address on it comes to this house no matter what the name. They know the house anyway, I used to have a very friendly ginger cat who would insist on whoever was delivering giving him a belly rub Grin

Identifiable from envelopes:
White plastic from Elsham Wold
Thomson in Glasgow
Initials ET in Northampton

I have a 3' diameter bucket overflowing with saved packaging. If you want me to let you know your squares have arrived, you really do need to identify yourself by MN name!

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 06/06/2011 13:31

Grin they must be going back to the sorting office with 'do you know what name we delivered to that house today???' Grin

KnottyLocks · 06/06/2011 14:20

Afternoon Smile

Pidj, I'm hoping you are still in your pjs and getting some rest!

Glad to see the cat poop arrived ok.

Big apologies to all: I PMed the address for the squares but obviously didn't state they were going to Pidj Blush

DutchOma · 06/06/2011 14:46

Initials ET in Northampton

That's me, sorry didn't put my MN name in this time.

DutchOma · 06/06/2011 14:48

I just thought the Post Office would think PurplePidjin was the name of a firm manufacturing bird food Grin

KnottyLocks · 06/06/2011 14:50

Or a maker of purple hair tints for the ageing bird in your life.

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 15:08

Yep, I'm giving them some good fodder for the pub after work Grin

Oh Pidjin, yes you must certainly come when you are next in the area. SantaPod is not at all far (I think) Do keep the address and I'll let you have a phone number to go with it when the time comes.
Am I on the list? Not that it matters, but the list gets more impressive as it gets longer.

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 17:27

I don't know. I'm hoping Knotty will add to it. I thought you all needed some recognition from the wider MN community, as we've been a bit holed up in Arts and Crafts recently Wink

Santa Pod is Wellingborough. I have no idea how close that is to you because I simply dont understand geography

OP posts:
KnottyLocks · 06/06/2011 18:12

Afternooooooooooooooooooooon Grin

I've added to the big list but know there's a few who've slipped through my fingers. I'll check back through the threads when I get a spare five minutes.

Oma, you are on the list Smile

smokinaces · 06/06/2011 18:23

Fab, you have mine. And I've probably been outed to everyone in that post Grin

angelpantser · 06/06/2011 20:03

Purple - let me know when you are next at Santa Pod too. I'm about 20 miles away and would love to meet up and have lots of wine with you and Dutch Oma.

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 20:20

Probably VW Action in early September - you'll have to come to the show so we can drink wine and not have to drive and make the kids clean the beetle so it can go in the show and shine

OP posts:
angelpantser · 06/06/2011 20:27

Excellent idea. Wonder if DH can be persuaded that it's a reasonable anniversary day out....................? I managed to marry the only man in the western world that is not a petrol head.

DutchOma · 06/06/2011 21:14

Santa Pod is the other side to Wellingborough from us, but we are on the Wellingborough side of Northampton, IYSWIM. Not that far in a car, it's even possible by public transport. (we have no car)

purplepidjin · 06/06/2011 21:46

Oma, I can pick you up if you don't mind a classic Beetle? (pic on profile)

Angel, Action is as much about the fun as the cars. This years theme is Pirates vs Ninja's. There's a club sports competition (think school sports for grown ups) loads of stalls with clothes and things, funfair, campervan cook-off, bar, and Brad's Cancer Charity (www.brads.org.uk/)always come up with some fun stuff, this year it's a treasure hunt according to the website www.vwaction.com/vwaction/ Plus, drag racing is a lot more interesting than Formula One because it's over in less than twelve seconds

KnottyLocks · 06/06/2011 22:55

I've totally lost track on the other thread but think we must be around the 260ish mark. That is AMAZING Grin
