This broke my heart to read. The impact a child who chooses to declare themselves the opposite sex has on their mother in particular is brutal. I cannot imagine a world where my children would demand that I change my own history to bow to their indoctrination.

There is no such thing as natal females & males? Really? This is news for the science community.

Obtuse response.

For the hard of thinking, we do not label men and women with the "natal" (or "cis") prefix. We don't need to, never have. Just men, and women is all that's needed. Hope that helps.

Oh please, Ive been 'patted down' several times at airports & not once did they 'pat' my genitals. Stop making shit up.

Where in the post you quoted did the poster mention genitals?

Why do people on your side always, always resort to falsehoods?

Why do you always, always bring genitals into it?

Is it because you are so soaked in the lies and deceptions of GI that it is now second nature to just make up falsehoods?

The thing is, if you ARE delusional and choosing to walk away from the people who love you because all you want is your delusion confirmed, you’re not doing anything brave. You’re just finding a new way to self-harm.

Sure for delusional people. But being trans isn't considered an illness by medical experts so that's not relevant here. What is delusional is thinking you are qualified to be one when you aren't.

@Twoallbeepattiesspecialsaucelettucecheesepickles any thoughts on the children unlawfully prescribed hormones by Sam Hall? Scandal in the making and also the Welsh Gender Services.

As someone with so much knowledge you could school us as to how these two things are not what we think….scandals.

Malpractice isn't exclusive to gender affirming care nor is incompetence in administering a treatment a repudiation of it.

Neither.

I'm simply a debate pervert. I enjoying discussing current affairs on various forums as a form of entertainment & mental exercise. But I do know people with trans children in my childrens year groups.

Yes, that would be because people on here often listen to the 5 detransitioners who get speaking fees for saying nobody should medically transition.

As for Suzy Green's daughter I have never heard of her expressing regret about being a woman tbh

I think you are thinking about a different Suzy Green. The one we are referring to did a TED talk where she related her husband's extreme dislike of his son's desire to play with what would be described as stereotypical girl's toys. He demanded these toys be removed from his son. He did not want a gay son. The TED talk Suzy decided her son was in fact a girl and, for his 16th birthday, took him to Thailand for castration surgery. The Thailand Government changed their laws soon after to make such abuse illegal but for Suzy's son, the damage was done. I believe he still lives in a feminine form and has a different name. Thankfully no longer a gay son Hmm. The doctors at the Tavistock Gender Clinic used to joke that they were "transing the gay away". Indeed they were. Transing children is the ultimate in homophobic abuse imo.

I see that you have descended into lobbing insults -

jane Austen used to talk about women being rational beings and I don’t see that lobbing insults as a rational argument

I am aware of medical malpractice @Twoallbeepattiesspecialsaucelettucecheesepickles

I asked you your opinion on these two cases as you tend to have a counter opinion on all things trans related. These two cases alarm me but as you have pointed out we possibly do not understand things as well as you do. Please give me your view on these two situations. I am particularly interested in your view on Sam Hall whose behaviour has been outlined in the recent tribunal.

In Egypt, female Muslim security guards never be expect to place their hands on ANY male when doing a security check. That is why the males and females are divided by SEX. Didn't you know that?

The ONLY people worshipping gentials and insisting on bringing genitals into every discussion are those like you who are adherents of GI.

You've already given us a real time display of this by deliberately fabricating what MostlyPeaceful's post said.

Its unbelievable that people think they have the right to swamp their children with anecdotes and memories that they find traumatic. Absolutely narcissistic.

'swamp', 'traumatic', 'narcissistic' good heavens what sort of family did you belong too. Your personal anecdote, now known as 'lived experience' may have been traumatic, but immersing yourself in the blatantly obvious stupidity that is GI won't undo any of that. You're just projecting your own warped experiences onto others, how narcissistic of you.

Sometimes having your memories challenged and being reminded of things and how they appear to others is a really good thing as it stops you living up your own arse

My last post has been hidden possibly in order for it to be checked for language. Absolutely fine.

Yeah whatya gonna do about it? Standover oxford dictionary?

Once a word is in broad social usage your'e shit out of luck.

I think you are confused.

It was the recently discredited Cambridge University (fantasist professor debacle upon which an independent enquiry has recently been announced) whose dictionary went woke and inserted a silly addendum to the original meaning of the word Woman - Adult Human Female, to now include men 😂.

Oxford University dictionary still has the correct original descriptor; woman - adult human female.

It's clear to everyone else on here that you didn't, Twoallbeepattiesspecialsaucelettucecheesepickles also knows you said nothing of the sort but will they correct their assertion or apologise? Since they haven't already I would say the answer to that is a resounding NO.

It's a very useful tell of exactly what kind of person they are so there is that benefit.

I'm sure most families have conversation topics that are avoided by mutual agreement (politics, religion, distribution of the jewellery in Great Aunty Ethel's will etc), but to have to remember that you can't reference shared memories of a person during a particular timeframe whilst in their presence sounds exhausting.

Given that it appears to be their hobby, you’d think they’d be better at it.

It's really not and people seem to be making it into a bigger deal than it is. Yes of course you can say 'remember that time we went to Centre Parcs' and reminisce about things. Just don't call someone by a name they don't want to be known by anymore or keep telling them that who they feel they are is wrong.

So if you have Tom who used to be Tanya, just call them Tom and don't say stuff like "you used to be such a lovely little girl, I don't know what happened" or "you used to love dressing up as a princess, so I don't understand this stuff". It's honestly not that hard if you care about someone's feelings. If you don't care and it's all about you and how you feel insulted that they no longer go by the name you chose for them, then yes, it will probably feel like a struggle.

Quite. A debate p*vert is a very odd way to describe yourself. A nerd maybe but use of pvert really shows a lack of understanding of language. P*vert is never in any conversation a positive thing.
