‘Woman’ missing in Southampton

Now I hope that this person is found safe and well - but this is not a woman! Why is Samantha being described as a woman? This helps no one, neither the person who is missing nor those searching for him.

There’s no such thing as a “cis woman”. It’s just your ideological in-group jargon that 99% of people will disregard, and substitute “actual” for.

Do you call straight people normal people rather than using gay and straight? I would be SHOCKED if you’re also homophobic (I wouldn’t).

GreyskySexRealistsky · 20/10/2026 10:32

Nobody has said "normal"

I call straight people straight people. I call men men and women women. You have no basis for accusing me of homophobia as a bizarre non sequitur but I realise said flailing is the best you can do.

StealthTroublemaker · 20/10/2026 10:33

So @Canadanian please can you explain what harm preventing men from accessing female spaces has done to women?

whilst you’re about it, please could you explain how letting males into female spaces makes women safer and what material benefit women will gain from allowing males into female spaces. Please do so without any reference to transpeople, this is purely about the gains and benefits to women. I did ask another GI poster but they seem to have gone radio silent on the matter. Maybe you can help?

Is it 'in the sprit' to keep repeating something that was already deleted, admittedly in order to get a thread itself deleted?

murasaki · 20/10/2026 10:34

Straight people and gay people are people.

Transwomen are not women

There's a difference.

But surely by using the word “cis” to describe women, you are just reinforcing to males with a trans identity that they will never be women. I mean, seems pretty nasty thing to do in my eyes….. every time you use “cis” to describe women, youre telling TIM, you can never be a woman because you’re not “cis”. How mean

It literally starts with the word woman in quotation marks as the title of the the thread. From the very start, it’s been an opportunity for transphobes to kick a vulnerable missing trans woman. Nobody needs to keep saying ‘bloke’ to make a case for using trans woman instead of just woman the press, and yet they do.

Nope. Very few of the posts are even directly about the missing person, let alone 'kicking them'. They are primarily about the police's methods in this case.

How do you know Samantha is a 'trans woman' by the way? I don't believe the police have mentioned that.

‘The best I can do….’

is much better than you’ve done recently (defended disgusting body shaming and told a rape survivor off for ‘making it all about her’ in a conversation about tape’.

you’re awful!

is this a ‘good faith’ argument you’re making?

Hey, we could get all giddy and use a hyphen. Or maybe a bit rococo and use a tilde.

Whatever the punctuation, a man's a man for a' that.

Trans and cis are both ADJECTIVES. Trans women and cis women are both women.

No. Not biologically and not legally. A “trans woman” is a man who identifies as a woman. Not an actual woman. Hope that’s helpful.

Theeyeballsinthesky · 20/10/2026 10:40

Gosh you really are going above and beyond agent TERF @Canadanian keep it up

lcakethereforeIam · 20/10/2026 10:41

I thought gender identity was an ineffable wossname, personal, known only to each individual and not up for debate. 'Cis'ing complete strangers is probably conversion practice.

StealthTroublemaker · 20/10/2026 10:41

Canadanian · 20/10/2026 10:39

No, sorry, not possible. You see, a woman is an adult human female. A “transwoman” is a male, therefore can never be a woman. Sorry bud.

Canadanian · 20/10/2026 10:39

So can you explain what “transwomen” and “cis” women have in common thst male both groups women? Remember it must not include the word woman, and must be materially applicable to every member of both groups.

BackToLurk · 20/10/2026 10:43

Canadanian · 20/10/2026 10:39

And what made you decide which Samantha is? Given we weren't told.

Canadanian · 20/10/2026 10:39

Trans and cis are both ADJECTIVES. Trans women and cis women are both women.

The only people who can be transwomen are men. You know that. It's literally the only fixed criterion.

Myalternate · 20/10/2026 10:50

Canadanian wants this thread deleted 🤷‍♀️

I’m of the option that if posters just refuse to engage with his/her extremely childish comments, this thread wouldn’t have got to 15 pages.

lcakethereforeIam · 20/10/2026 10:51

This is insane. All we know about Samantha is that he's missing and the press release was unhelpful regarding getting him found. All the tras riding out to defend his gender identity, he might be the Miranda Yardley type of transwoman. Comfortable with male pronouns and fluid in his gender presentation, once sued for being a TERF.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 20/10/2026 10:55

Good point @lcakethereforeIam
