I haven't read this is detail but did notice that in the list of different forms of hate crime that transgender has the lowest figures.

And wonder, had the male establishment allowed it, what the number of hate crimes against women would have been recorded.

Loving the desperate attempts to cling to the narrative that trans people are both the most victimised members of society but are also not over represented in the sex offenders category.

What's interesting about this discussion is how much the gender critical movement aligns with the MRA in terms of denying sexual abuse. The idea that homosexuality, race or any other visible deviation from conformity can be an accepted category of bullying & violence but trans people particularly in this hyper environment of demonisation & misogyny are somehow off the hook defies logic.

Do you really need numbers for something you know to be a self evident reality ass old as time?

The truth is you do know, but when the 'cause is at stake denial is the only option…..

Nevertheless, the UK High court (no less) deemed the data meaningless.

but the Supreme Court trumps high court…. It’s in the name 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Northernlightsss can you suggest a better way of looking at the likelihood of a demographic being a convicted sex offender than looking at the actual crime stats?

There are 151 transwomen rapists and sex offenders in England & Wales alone - far more than the number of women who have been convicted of these offences.

It's not a flimsy study, it's people who have been convicted in a court of law.

How do you explain the disparity in behaviour?

Here's an interesting piece that explains how data can be distorted.

OMG. They were not adjudicating the same issue which in one instance was the meaning of sex & the other was data so your point is irrelevant.

@Northernlightsss I read your link but it doesn't answer my question at all.

We know that transwomen aren't being incarcerated at a greater rate because of transphobia because it's not happening to transmen is it?

There are 151 transwomen in prison in England & Wales with convictions for sex crimes but only 5 (or fewer) transmen.

We know from the prison stats that a transwoman is hundreds of times more likely to be convicted of a sex crime than a woman, or a transman. How do you explain the disparity in behaviour in your own words?

In my own words? Natal women are treated more leniently by the courts.

From the piece:

"Conversely, criminologists find that cis women are treated more leniently than men. It is estimated that there may be as many at 64,000 woman paedophiles in the UK, with reports rising recently to around 600 cases per year, yet only 103 woman sex offenders in total are in prison at the time of this dataset. Studies in the US show that 21% of child sexual abuse is committed by females, despite them only being 1% of the sexual offenders in prison. Surveys indicate prevalence rates of female sexual offenders six times higher than official data. As we saw previously, the UK justice system simply ignored some kinds of sex crime by women until recently."

@Northernlightsss well that's certainly an interesting theory, but it doesn't withstand any scrutiny.

There are plenty of other studies that show natal women are treated far more harshly by the courts. We know that most women in prison are there for minor offences such as non-payment of TV licenses. While a man can make hundreds of thousands of child abuse images and avoid prison.

Scotland news: Man caught with more than 100,000 child abuse images avoids jail due to 'generally good character'

So if the legal system is so willing to put women in prison for something so trivial, what makes you think they are ignoring sex offences? Where are all the local press reports of women being accused of these crimes? Why is it that if this 'scandal' was revealed in 2009, the numbers of women in prison hasn't rocketed?

If you’re worried about data being distorted, you’re going to be horrified when you find out about male people being recorded as female.

I don't doubt there are instances of men avoiding jails for serious crimes but anecdotal instances are not data that you will need to prove men aren't also prosecuted for minor offences as compared to women.

So the numbers are too small to infer things are getting better, but at the same time big enough to declare a trans genocide?

Rightio.

Did you just say transmen were “natal women”! Wow! How transphobic! You’ll be saying transwomen are men next….
