Article on the threat to UK women from Afghan immigrants

"The statistics clearly show that Afghan nationals pose a disproportionate threat when it comes to sex offences. Last year, Sky News’s data and forensics unit – using annual population survey data from 2021 and Met Police figures – found that, for Afghan nationals, there were 59.2 sexual offence charges per 10,000 across England and Wales. The corresponding figure for UK nationals was 2.7 offences per 10,000 people."

The Spiked article actually misrepresents the Sky article, which does a deeper dive into the data and concludes "Our estimates conclude that Afghans are closer to three times more likely to be convicted of a sexual offence than someone born in the UK". NB though age is mentioned, i.e. recent migrants are more likely to be young and criminally active, neither seem to analyse sex, though it is mentioned in Farage's figures - there must be more male immigrants than female; presumably this has been taken into account?

More and more I find the threat, especially to women, troublesome and worrying. To generalise, the Left view all immigration as all fine and dandy; the Right disagree and want it reduced or stopped. On the other hand, Burnham's proposal to place asylum seekers in middle-class areas implicitly shows that he knows that they are problematic: "We cannot have a situation where it's only the poorest communities in the country that receive all of the dispersal of refugees and asylum seekers." If the refugees and asylum seekers are beneficial to the UK, which is promoted as the Left-wing view, then he would be saying that the rich/middle class areas will benefit from his plans, rather than saying they need to share the burden. "Blackpool, and other communities ... have had to take more than their fair share of asylum seekers," she [immigration minister Anna Turley] added. "That's put a huge burden on local communities and created real civil unrest." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c204d4z1gg8o

TL:DR Are male immigrants, especially illegal ones, a particular threat to women, and if so what can be done?

We need to talk about Afghan sex offenders

Welcoming unvetted men into Britain from a deeply misogynistic culture is putting women at risk.

The only way to make our way back to any semblance of normality is to start telling the truth, concentrate on facts rather than feelings and get all the crazy people out of politics. We need people that aren’t scared of criticism and don’t fold when their feet are held to the fire.

But this isn't found anywhere.
Look at the furore over the SC ruling. The govt itself, and the vast majority of it's MPs have obfuscated like crazy. The NHS is breaking the law.
The grooming gangs scandal remains a crisis "in quarantine". What I mean by that is that a visible fault line in Britain will not be addressed.
And now there is cultural shift on illegals, from initially zero tolerance to laying the groundwork and critically language to normalize HMO Britain.
We both have a left establishment where anti racism is the highest calling, blank slate theory in respect to culture, and pure cowardice in addressing our failings, because to admit to them would be to admit to having caused them.
Ditto on the establishments role in promoting transgender as policy.
Imagine allowing 200-300k illegals to arrive, stay, and then likely house amongst the very communities they've invaded.
That's not a country, that's an anti racist policy made flesh on a societal level.

Do they honestly think that this 9 page guide will change a man’s deep seated attitude towards women? If it’s as simple as handing out a booklet we could just extend the scheme to all men. Bunch of bloody idiots.

Could be worse the ‘No No Square’ song could be re released. I’m sure the immigrants could learn the dance after breakfast.

They forced kids up and down the country to watch Adolescence, this pamphlet is child's play in comparison.

No. But it may put the kibosh on rapists trying to use ignorance of the law as a defence in court. Ignorance of the law (real or feigned) is supposed to be explicitly NOT a defence, but the light sentences I've seen reported make me wonder if it's being treated as an unofficial mitigating factor.

Treesandflower · Yesterday 23:17

Will it allow victims to sue the government? Their first duty is surely to keep citizens safe. If they are having to give immigrants this 9 page guide are they admitting they know these men are a risk?

What stats have been obtained via FOIs?

I’ve said for years the government and associated NGOs etc needs to be sued. Sadly money helps focus the mind.

It's not their fault nobody ever told them women don't like to be raped in broad daylight by a throng of 50 jeering men. It was fine when they did it to all those female reporters over the years.

I mean, most men would marry an eight year old if it wasn't so frowned on over here. Don't have to worry about them cheating on you with a younger bloke down the line. You can just stone them to death for suspected infidelity, right?

Same with wayward teen daughters who date men from other tribes. We'd all want to stone our daughters to death if they dated a waster surely?

Perhaps they can get it translated into Spanish?

Eta I'm glad Spain are prioritising getting the girls out of there, although they may be put with a different population of men with the same attitude.

Even if it's a minority of the migrants currently in Ceuta that commit these crimes, it doesn't say much for the rest that they're standing by and letting them happen.

EmeraldRoulette · Today 00:14

@lcakethereforeIam not sure this is what you meant

But I believe this leaflet will be in 10 languages and one of them is Spanish.

goodness knows how much will this cost us on top of all the other cost

lcakethereforeIam · Today 00:25

I hope the men can read.

Currently they're barred from even applying for jobs, with the only option being given housing and upkeep for free.

I'm proposing they should apply for jobs alongside everyone else, rather than being "given" a job. Then pay for their upkeep with wages they earn; if they don't manage to get a job, that's it, they slum it... then they'll leave again like the vast majority of the men who swam to Ceuta.

I feel community service initiatives would work better from the point of view of 'exchange' for housing and allowance.

What stats have been obtained via FOIs?

The Request: In June 2025, the think tank Centre for Migration Control (CMC) submitted a Freedom of Information (FOI) request seeking data on convictions in England and Wales between 2018 and 2024. They requested breakdowns by nationality for serious offences including murder, rape, weapons crimes, and drug offenses.
Ruling: The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) ruled on June 22, 2026, that the MoJ must release the data. To mitigate privacy risks, the ICO specified that any nationality category with fewer than five convictions should be suppressed.
The Government's Legal Challenge: The MoJ appealed the ICO's decision to the First-tier Tribunal rather than releasing the data

Clearly the data must not support their narrative - or they would release it.

Why is it okay to spend tax payer money hiding data from tax payers?

They are meant to represent the people of Britain not hide things from us. We know the data is bad. We can see it from Danish data and from reading the news.

It’s all about controlling what the public think and shaming them for speaking the truth.

I see data is being put together on immigration costs and contracts. I am unsure how this will reduce without deportations - Labour said we didn’t have enough cash to give the elderly fuel allowance - see clearly can’t afford this. I haven’t fact checked this but as the government are clearly fighting to hide immigration data I can only assume it has truth in it.

As I said upthread I’ll only vote for a party with a strong stance on deportations. It will reduce crime, tax payer costs and house prices/rent. I’ll be reading political party info very carefully going forward.

I agree.

The leaflet telling asylum seekers about consent seems to be causing some furore, with the right-wing press having a field day, and even the BBC headlining it as "Asylum seekers told rape and harassment illegal"... I can't find anything in the Guardian, but maybe I've missed it.

I've just looked at that website. WTF is happening in Holland and Belgium? There isn't a square millimetre where asylum seekers aren't housed.
Look at France, minimal numbers.
