Article on the threat to UK women from Afghan immigrants

"The statistics clearly show that Afghan nationals pose a disproportionate threat when it comes to sex offences. Last year, Sky News’s data and forensics unit – using annual population survey data from 2021 and Met Police figures – found that, for Afghan nationals, there were 59.2 sexual offence charges per 10,000 across England and Wales. The corresponding figure for UK nationals was 2.7 offences per 10,000 people."

The Spiked article actually misrepresents the Sky article, which does a deeper dive into the data and concludes "Our estimates conclude that Afghans are closer to three times more likely to be convicted of a sexual offence than someone born in the UK". NB though age is mentioned, i.e. recent migrants are more likely to be young and criminally active, neither seem to analyse sex, though it is mentioned in Farage's figures - there must be more male immigrants than female; presumably this has been taken into account?

More and more I find the threat, especially to women, troublesome and worrying. To generalise, the Left view all immigration as all fine and dandy; the Right disagree and want it reduced or stopped. On the other hand, Burnham's proposal to place asylum seekers in middle-class areas implicitly shows that he knows that they are problematic: "We cannot have a situation where it's only the poorest communities in the country that receive all of the dispersal of refugees and asylum seekers." If the refugees and asylum seekers are beneficial to the UK, which is promoted as the Left-wing view, then he would be saying that the rich/middle class areas will benefit from his plans, rather than saying they need to share the burden. "Blackpool, and other communities ... have had to take more than their fair share of asylum seekers," she [immigration minister Anna Turley] added. "That's put a huge burden on local communities and created real civil unrest." www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c204d4z1gg8o

TL:DR Are male immigrants, especially illegal ones, a particular threat to women, and if so what can be done?

We need to talk about Afghan sex offenders

Welcoming unvetted men into Britain from a deeply misogynistic culture is putting women at risk.

Laughed a bit at the naivete that these men are interested in 'meeting' the woman they're going to fuck.

It’s still a meeting, just not only of minds.

On Piddington below it’s interesting to see how a mc leafy Lib Dem area reacts. I feel for them.

I bet that pretty much all mners would object and sign the referendum if there. They’d be with the 96% even if time is spent on here admonishing others.

I wonder what the ratios of men to women are currently in the UK? I imagine they wouldn’t be able to do a census as that would uncover all the illegals, but I would bet men are outnumbering women on this island currently, so the choice of who we’d like to fuck might be taken out of our hands in the future.

I work with many asylum seekers from Somalia and Afghanistan. They are all severely traumatised. The immigration system does not treat them with any humanity at all- it is not surprising the crime rate is higher in this group- why act with humanity when you’re not treated with it.

I also expect someone from Somalia would be much much more likely to be convicted that a white English man

Vulnerable does not mean harmless.

I will just keep repeating this over and over.

Many criminals are vulnerable. Many men with PTSD are dangerous.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be treated humanely, at all, but self care and caution must be the first priority.

What do you think about the Piddington village that is going to leave the UK at the prospect of being swamped by these chancers?

Putting myself in their shoes I think I would be quite frightened. I think one of the really sinister aspects of policies like this is that nobody gives any thought (or more likely they just don’t care) about the fact that women and children will find their freedoms curtailed (even if by choice). No more jogging / walking alone, no more children walking to school alone or playing outside without adult supervision.

But perhaps this will be a wake up call for many across the country who support the current policy without properly considering how they will feel when confronted with the reality of the situation.

That would require an Act of Parliament regardless of the referendum results. It was a good way to shine a light on things though.

I was listening to a podcast of a military expert recently who has successfully modelled outcomes in regard to conflict and has accurately modelled the Iran/US/Israel conflict up to this point. I would love some of these experts to model what happens to Europe if this level of unfettered migration continues alongside the escalation of crime and lowering of GDP, unemployment etc. To my mind the obvious outcome is civil war, but I know we are not known to take to the streets as a population.

Whether you believe Farage or not, trust him or not, his point is that the truth is not that Reform are a far right party, but that he's in the way of the far right ascending in the UK.
That more years of unfettered illegals entry, continued pull factors under a left govt or Tories not grasping the nettle, more and more communities obliged to accept first asylum hotels, then hundreds of men each in barracks free to move about in the towns associated, and then in HMO Britain, streets all over the UK with unvetted men living in them, all the while the authorities gaslighting us that "it's up to all of us to share the burden of housing the most vulnerable and unfortunate".
His point is that it this enforced status quo where the 1984-style language ramps up to make any dissent turn us into "oppressors", will lead to far worse outcomes politically and societally that make the fear of a Reform govt a walk in the park.
I believe he's right.

Clearly we are under siege. And unsafe. I’m not sure what Piddington leaving the UK will do for them.

As the government hasn’t sought to comfort UK citizens with increased police presence or deterrents for invaders, we can only assume the government are complicit with the growing erosion.

All that it takes for the triumph of evil…….. is actually happening here.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 18/08/2026 12:12

I enjoy listening to history audiobooks and I’m pondering if we can learn from history here. I’m not educated enough to be able to pinpoint events in the past that were similar and what happening. Are there any history buffs in here that can pull up historical scenarios and tell us how it ended?

I read recently that this was the guy who championed globalisation and migration and is responsible for much of where we are now. I’d never head of him before.

Definitely not a 'meeting' as the previous poster seemed to envision.

Nobody seems to be offering up men to work in these brothels. As Bruke Desalagne, the recent Eritrean rapist, demonstrated, they're not always that fussy. The church where the attack took place, in Harrow, is very pretty btw.

Difficult to read that, for me, he seems insufferably naieve. Disaster.

I don’t think Piddington can leave but it does highlight a new issue, a mc one.

It was much easier for Labour to demonise wc areas and objectors.

Mapletree1985 · 18/08/2026 12:25

This may be a stupid question, but - when these asylum seekers arrive here, what sort of cultural training do they receive? We can't expect a human mind that has been operating according to one set of rules since birth to immediately grasp the new rules without being told and instantly make the switch. A traumatized person will find it even more difficult to learn new ways of being.

Does anyone teach them what is acceptable behavior in our society? Especially with the regard to the rights of women? Or do we just let them loose on the streets expecting them to know automatically because "it's obvious"?

Not a rhetorical question; I'm genuinely curious.

Climate change and shifting geopolitics are driving much migration. As are conflicts. Mass migration isn't especially new.

What is perhaps different is consciousness of our ageing/shrinking population, and a supposed need for migrants to augment our existing workforce.

And what is also new is the refusal among many to even discuss the issues, on pain of being called 'racist' for contemplating the possibility that unfettered unlimited migration may have a few downsides.

The Right Side Of History will only accept 'all migrants are good and must be welcomed and supported' as an argument. I find it is often a pious 'white saviour' mindset, tbh.

Whatever the many problems with Reform, they have at least demonstrated that if the larger political parties won't even look at the issues head on, the issues will be taken out of their hands.

They can deal with MC refuseniks quite easily by labelling them far right Telegraph reading NIMBYs.

True. Although they vote Lib Dem there. I bet there’s a high cross over with mn wrt demographics

It’s true.. à wc person concerned about immigration is a thick gammon bigot flag shagger. À mc person concerned about immigration is a Nimby.

is there any way at all to get these echo chamber of thoughtless insulters to actually engage in any genuine capacity for respect for others point of view. Astonishing really.

They come from cultures where raping is ok? Do they?

Doesn't matter what the actual facts are, we're talking about the narrative and how the power that be are likely to deal with it.

Yes. In Afghanistan and many countries where Sharia law applies, a wife - however young and in Afghanistan potentially a child of 11 - has no rights over her own body and must have sex with her ‘husband’. That’s rape to my mind. She may also be beaten.

Likewise in many such countries a woman raped outside marriage cannot report it as she will be treated as a criminal as though complicit. So in that sense rape will not be punished.

AnitaCam · 18/08/2026 12:45

I don’t think Adolf Hitler would have been stopped, in today’s world. He would have been ‘ uninformed’ and have ‘ made an honest mistake’ because he had trauma. He was ND and wanted to be an artist. Him and his friends were enthusiasts that thought they were doing the right thing, aww.

They come from cultures where raping is ok? Do they?

Some do. Or where rape is endemic (yes even more so than here) or where rape is used as an act of war or where rape in marriage is lawful or where child marriage is lawful or where men can get out of a rape charge by marrying their victim. Also the defence of some foreign born rapists is generally very different to UK born ones. It’s never “we had sex but she consented” it’s “I didn’t know you needed consent to have sex” or “in my culture it’s different”.

Or people would say he just “has genuine concerns”.
