Why do some people view JK Rowling as transphobic?

1000 replies

Backwardsbinn · 13/08/2026 20:33

Where do people get the idea that JK Rowling is transphobic from? Where? I’m having this argument with an acquaintance who tells me she’s the most transphobic person on earth but cannot point to one single thing that she’s done or said that’s transphobic. Is this the widest held totally bullshit view ever?

You haven't. At least don't lie. We can all read the thread. You have not answered why males aren't safe in male spaces, and why 1% of males should be allowed in female only spaces and 99% not.

My claim is dignity & privacy not safety so save the strawman.

Again, what's racist is applying a double standard of public scrutiny on plagiarism. THATS MY POINT. I'm not trying to argue that there wasn't a public interest in a highly positioned academic lying but rather what started it AND why which is RACISM.

No, you maliciously want to misrepresent it as racism. There is absolutely no proof for your assertion. On the contrary.

Yet again, males have dignity and privacy in male spaces. They even have CUBICLES!

You also have not explained why only 1% of males need 'dignity and privacy' but 99% don't.

They can have dignity and privacy in the men's, like all the other men.

Context matters. You need to read the preceding posts to understand the context which focus' on his alleged lies rather than why he came under the spot light to start with.

“More than one thing can be true”

You would benefit from remembering that. JKR is talking about the damage JA’s story may have caused to parents of non-verbal children. Afua Hirsch (Black, left-wing as that appears to matter) wrote a long piece about the damage that JA’s stories may have caused to Black academics. Neither of them are ‘reducing his story’ to anything.

@Northernlightsss can’t answer anything about real statistics of physical attributes of sexed bodies.

I don’t know why, but they are avoiding any post that touches on the reality of being female and up against a male bodied person.

It’s a waste of time trying to engage them. The ideology seems to have destroyed some of their cognitive reasoning functions.

You don’t work in academia, do you?
Lying and passing of work as your own is a massive deal.

Well you clearly don't as I clarified upthread the difference between academic plagiarism & the general understanding of it not to mention the white prof who was more guilty of it didn't face the same public scrutiny digging into his private life.

Try & keep up with the thread to safe repetition please.

And females as a class overwhelmingly engage in sex typical behaviours. This isn’t a small difference in numbers, it’s overwhelming.

See where this is going Einstein? Now see if you can join the dots after zillionth time.

Yes, there are “typical” female behaviours.

Engaging in them either by choice or inner compulsion doesn’t turn a man into a woman though. A man in a skirt and lipstick is still a man, but in a skirt and lipstick.

Fish typically swim in the sea; I don’t become a fish by imitating one.

It’s incoherent to think that putting on a skirt and lipstick demonstrates a man represents a reduced risk to women any more than putting on a plastic beak and feathers has reduced its risk to chickens and should be allowed into the hen-house. See if you can work out why.

For the fourth time, the white public professor did not have an entire laundry list of sociopathic behaviour behind him, which sparked interest. Your comparison, as you've already been told, is irrelevant and null and void.

Because they prefer it just like females do.

Oh dear. You seem to have mistaken ‘men are typically more violent than women’ for ‘men are typically violent’. How embarrassing for you.

For the fifth time, sorry to burst your racist attempt at weaponising black people, but the white professor DID NOT HAVE A LAUNDRY LIST OF SOCIOPATHIC BEHAVIOUR which sparked interest. You are desperately flailing about. The white professor is no comparison and is null and void, as I've already proven. So why you are still desperately clinging to that, only you know, but you are making a fool of yourself.

It doesn't matter what they 'prefer', they don't get the right to violate female boundaries.

It's not theirs to take. It belongs to women.

What about their preferences?

JKR is crafting her own narrative around the story that conveniently aligns with her politics. She's centering it around fabulism & the damage it does: Cue trans people. She isn't interested in what really is the reason that set off the chain of events (diversity hate) that eventually led to Arday's death because that would get in the way.

Pingponghavoc · 19/08/2026 09:08

The GRA allows men to obtain a certificate based on a diagnosis of gender dysphoria and change of title on id. For the purposes of the EqA, a man is protected when he proposes to undergo gender reassignment.

None of these things make him anything like a woman or any different to any other man for the purposes of single sex spaces.

Women's single sex spaces are for safety, dignity and privacy for women, not men.

I dont know how to say it any more simply.

backformoreofthesame · 19/08/2026 09:08

Rich successful woman who doesn’t believe that transwomen are women - that’s all

transphobia means not believing transwomen are women

Oh the irony! There is a complete lack of self reflection in that sentence.

She isn't interested in what really is the reason that set off the chain of events (diversity hate) that eventually led to Arday's death because that would get in the way.

Arday's nasty, fraudulent and sociopathic behaviour is 100% solely responsible for the chain of events. And we all know it.

What are you babbling on about? Noone is suggesting gametal sex changes because females have sex typical behaviours. All trans people are essentially saying is they have more in common with the typical behaviours of the opposite sex. They do not assert typical behaviours define sex for everybody. Its simply a statement of personal individual alignment.

Transwomen sexually offending 5 times higher than all other males, and certainly higher than any females proves how absolutely wrong that is. Transwomen retain male pattern offending and male pattern aggression.

Pingponghavoc · 19/08/2026 09:11

Theres an idea that female spaces provide safety, dignity and privacy and male spaces do not.

They do. Its just that the womens spaces are designed for women, the men's for men.

TW are men.

Of course once exposed lies of high profile individuals are of public interest ….but to the level of hounding of the British media? No. Its of minor public interest.

In any case my criticism is the double standard how we got here in the first place not once he was exposed although that was clearly excessive compared to other crimes.
