Seems to have completed his lurch to the far-right - in addition to his vocal support of Trump, I suppose his 'defender of women and girls' schtick doesn't really wash any more...

But further up the thread you were arguing that sex isn't binary with dodgy link and all, where do single sex spaces come into that when sex is spectrum? Have you forgotten that already?

Proportionality. Try & keep up.

I’d probably take your own advice if I were you.

TheKeatingFive · 19/07/2026 09:39

That makes zero sense. Honestly, your scientific illiteracy here is just embarrassing.

Its immaterial how one sub group of men behave. I don't expect elderly men are as much danger to women as younger men. That doesn't mean they should have access to our spaces.

Proportionality.

Care to point out where this contradicts what I have said.

I suppose multiple things can happen at the same time and (most) people can also hold more than one thought or idea in their minds at any one moment.

Personally, I don’t believe the two are related at all, and it is possible to be disturbed by both at the same time, as I am.

In all the years I have been involved in these threads, and I've been here long enough to remember the legendary LangCleg, I have never seen a TRA start a thread to distance themselves from some of the stuff other TRAs and some trans people come out with, never. If they, and you, are equally disturbed by it, they hide it well.

Datun · 19/07/2026 09:43

Proportionality

Translates as I don't care about prisons, rape refuges or sport. Because I don't use any of those spaces.

Toilets on the other hand...

It's about balancing rights though so the harms cut both ways. And let's not forget the very same females that GC's are attempting to protect are subjected to more scrutiny they may not be comfortable with.

You could argue the potential harms of abuse of male teachers & carers of very young children given their track record outweighing their right to that kind of employment…but we wouldn’t dream of it. Consistentcy?

No. It's not.

These are single SEX provisions.

No human can change sex. There should never have been suggestion that a sub group of men should have had any right to access women's provision.

Men are amply provided for via their own sex provision and unisex options.

Everyone's needs are already taken care of without men infiltrating spaces that don't belong to them.

Howse that work again?

Is this the recycled argument that we should have wax segregated workplaces because the person who suggests it cannot understand consent and safeguarding?

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 19/07/2026 09:45

Whisperingwaters · 19/07/2026 09:42

Proportionality.

No it isn’t proportionate for men to use women’s spaces. That includes the men who think they are women (which is impossible to achieve).

TheKeatingFive · 19/07/2026 09:45

Whisperingwaters · 19/07/2026 09:42

Proportionality.

Total non sequitur.

Men are men. They don't change sex. They need to stay out of women's single sex spaces that don't belong to them.

Shedmistress · 19/07/2026 09:47

Another thread full of one bloke using every tactic to wear down women who say no.

Timeless.

Strawman. Its trans women not men. And the younger generation beg to differ.

You’ve every right to say trans women. You can’t insist that I do.

I have the freedom to say what I know to be true. A trans person has not changed their biological sex.
Sadly, you’re also mistaken in believing the younger generation think like you.

Classic Trancel behaviour.

Won't listen to women. Doesn't respect their boundaries. Disregards their consent.

Helleofabore · 19/07/2026 09:50

Whisperingwaters · 19/07/2026 09:08

I never said it should in all single sex spaces. I disagree where I don't perceive proportionality.

What provisions do you not consider to be covered by sex segregation again?

List them and clearly list the reasons why they are likely to fail a challenge on the basis of proportionality?

Helleofabore · 19/07/2026 09:54

I am really keen to discover how some female single sex provisions can be considered proportionate and others are not.

Considering how all female single sex provisions use a list of the same aspects of female people’s needs to justify them in the first place. Let’s see those arguments in detail and not just vague statements that are supposed to be considered as credible.

TRAs seem to be fuming that Graham got £25 grand. I wonder which stings more, the money or 'A Met spokesperson said on Thursday: “We recognise the considerable distress caused to Mr Linehan, and have offered our sincere apologies.

I reckon it's the money 😁

They mention it all the time, so I agree 😂

You’ll just get a load of AI pulled nonsense the poster doesn’t fully understand.

Whisperingwaters · 19/07/2026 09:38

Thanks for the great belly laugh, by the way.

And for thinking that what this man has written is in anyway different to what I and many other marketing students (even at certificate 1 level) were taught and then practised 35 years ago. It wasn’t modern even then!

Did you read the posts about women’s rights campaigns being a ‘brand’ now. Because apparently marketing managers using specific values that resonate with a particular target segment is both ‘modern’ and the branding can be used in the opposite direction … for a non cohesive group with disparate values that loosely fit under a very broadly described outcome

Where on the internet has that bollocks attempt at labelling come from?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/07/2026 10:10

Hahaha I scrolled past it but gathered from your post what it was about.

NotBadConsidering · 19/07/2026 10:12

Could be.

But it could also be that they realised that they have been discovered to be misusing police forces and that the mounting cases are causing plenty of media. I am sitting on the fence still.

If we’re talking sabotaging one’s own brand, I don’t think it gets any more obvious by the zealots who deviated from the Denton’s recommendation of “shhhh!”

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/07/2026 10:10

I guess if some people actually cannot understand the significant issues in using self reported personality questionnaires in categorising human sex categories, then this attempt and misusing the term ‘brand’ is inevitable.

Um...

Now a new YouGov study, the fourth in a series reaching back to 2018, shows an increased scepticism towards transgender rights across the board – and particularly in the two and a half years since our previous wave of this study.

Notable in this most recent study – conducted in mid-December – is the growing resistance on transgender rights among those groups that are typically more permissive on the issue, like women and young people.

I kept looking for this year’s update to the tracker as I thought surely the people who first commissioned that poll in 2018 would be interested. … but nothing. Maybe the team at You Gov also believed that the trend was indisputable now and that it wasn’t worth any investment from them and no one has invested in another run.

Talking shite now. Or stuck on repeat?

Proportionality:

“Male” women 0.5% of the population

Actual female women 51% of the population
