I absolutely think this should be a crime. To think my partner or daughter could be in some seemingly intimate space where women are trusting each other in a vulnerable state and suddenly someone clocks there is a man in there with them is genuinely shocking

The whole "no one's every had a problem with me before this pesky guidance" take is so disingenuous. Like clearly a whole loads of women have very much had a problem with it, else we wouldn't be where we are now. Most women are just too polite or fearful to say anything!

The other week I was in some public toilets and there was a man who had taken his daughter into the cubicles. There were a bunch of women clearly unhappy that there was a man in the toilets but I very much doubt be noticed them when he stormed out (without washing his hands).

I was in the changing rooms at our local pool and found a fully clothed bloke standing by the shower cubicles. I told him this was the women's side and he said 'Oh, I don't mind, I'm waiting for my daughter.'

Yeah, whether he minded was not top of my priority list right then.

I told him (quite loudly) that I too was waiting for my daughter, who wouldn't want to step out of the shower in front of Random Man, thanks, and he huffed off to wait outside the shower block.

The whole passing thing is so unnecessarily cruel to trans people. It is sad that it uses them to line the pockets of surgeons and drug companies.

It also really exposes the inescapable quality of being a man, socialised male, in our society: Because it never, ever seems to occur to some transwomen that that instead of them passing, what they are experiencing from actual women and girls, is fawning or acquiescence. Both from fear and a socialised need to be kind.

Because it never, ever seems to occur to some transwomen that that instead of them passing, what they are experiencing from actual women and girls, is fawning or acquiescence.

I agree it may not occur to some, but it certainly does to others.

It was only a few years ago that the bloody Guardian actually published an article from a trans identified man who went shopping with his wife and when he was paying for his female clothes he smirked at the sales assistant, because he knew how uncomfortable she was.

The Guardian in its infinite misogyny, thought it was all fine and dandy to have a positive article about a fetishistic man upsetting a young girl and enjoying it.

My point being that many of these men positively go out of their way to discomfort women, and many other men think there's nothing wrong with it.

That article was revolting, and yes, stunning in its absolute happy indulgence that this man was getting off - openly - on sexually harassing young girls. In a way he knew they couldn't escape, by appropriating the social teflon of the time that if a man tells you he's identifying as a woman, you must pretend to believe he is in good faith, regardless of what he says and does in front of you, or how he wags his fetish.

The gleeful game to many men has been 'how far can I push you while still making you pretend'? Loving the control, the abusiveness of it.

Thank God that's over.

When the daily whinge arrives with 'why has this meanie meanie guidance suddenly popped up when everyone was fine with men doing all this?' - it's always worth sharing that article. That man was just one little bit of the giant heap of abuse that made women force years through court to get the law confirmed.

"I will find out if I pass as well as I think"

How very telling.
If there's anything that proves it's all purely about using women as validation this is it.
I hope the women kick up a massive fuss and throw him out.
See how much fun that will be.

There is so much wrong in that man’s post. But it really is about an experiment where the women are unconsenting participants

I wouldn’t be surprised if the humiliation is part of the excitement of doing this - the ‘having some fun!’ is a bit of a giveaway.

Exactly. It's not his 'worry', it's likely the point.

This. And it's so prevalent.

I guess, in a way, the more worrying part is the huge number of people who don't see it.

And then I remember that it's only women, and if their job isn't to shut up and put up, then what the fuck are they for?

Monstershark · 18/07/2026 14:16

Trans Reddit is cheering him on, no concern for the women involved

I agree. It looks like a made up titillation exercise.

And he'll come back and say how amazing it was that everyone accepted him, they couldn't tell he was a man, despite his one hundred percent male anatomy, face, attitude and misogyny.

Yep.

That phrase is very telling "they're just women, after all". On the one hand he wants to be a woman, a real woman, more than anything, on the other hand he dismisses real women in just five words _ how to tell us you're still a man at heart

I'm sorry - those were my words, summarizing his words.

Daleksatemyshed · 19/07/2026 07:24

Thanks @Mapletree1985 for letting me know. I think the basic premise of my post still stands, the disregard for women and their spaces

BEAchDays2 · 19/07/2026 07:54

What event is requiring them to be undressed but about health.

I smell a Reddit troll. (Not you OP - the person posting on Reddit)

I wonder if it's the women's pond at Hampstead heath

Interesting. My adult DD who identities as non-binary went there this week. She told me that afterwards the women sunbathe w their tops off, as did she and then many were naked in the shower afterwards (it’s communal, not cubicles), she kept her bottom half on as ‘I didn’t want to show my bush!”.

i didn’t want to get in to a discussion at that point but I did think a biological man should be nowhere near that space where women are naked or semi-naked. A lot are older ladies who would be freaked out to see a dick I’m sure.

Unf DD thinks trans women should be allowed in to any female space but I bet if that did happen in somewhere like the women’s pond she would see it for what it is - unacceptable.
