Ok, so I know the educated classes hate us and our Dear Leader, but she's really not doing herself any favours here...

They hate her, but they need her.

Indeed, it's pathetic, isn't it.

Lol. You really are outdoing yourself today to the point your comments discredit themselves without any effort from me.

I live in a parallel universe.

One that's inhabited by People With Eyes.

Haha, so what political power does she have, do tell.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 22/06/2026 00:28

They hate her, but they need her.

You mean like sex.

They want to deny sex but their entire identity and legal protections come from the identification of their birth sex.

It's amusing in the extreme.

GreyskySexRealistsky · 22/06/2026 00:35

It's quite a bind to be caught in

She is not obliged to be a politician nor issue a statement on your demand.

She is a private citizen who can pick and choose what she speaks up on.

This idea that she MUST be political on other political subjects but should shut the fuck up about women's rights is actually hilarious.

JKR set herself up as a global spokes person on women's rights. If she is to be taken as genuine in her concern & not have a political interest in doing so she needs to remain consistent in her critique.

Of course she's entitled to be selective but not entitled to be free of criticism that such selectivity points to more than just an interest in women's rights.

I don't think that's true, she spoke about things she cares about but if other people have positioned her as a global spokeswoman, that's on them not on her.

Er no actually.

She didn't.

You have declared she is. That's funny.

You think she's the world authority on women's rights and that she's some kind of pied piper leading us all astray. How very dare her.

Weirdly there's quite a lot of us here who were here before JKR used her eyes, read some words and educated herself and then used her eyes to see the bleeding obvious.

It's truly amazing what she's done. Use her eyes and say "we actually that's not five fingers, that's definitely four, why are you trying to make me lie?" It's revolutionary, this telling the truth malarkey.

Did everyone else go blind through wanking or something?

It's strategic global interests.
Ask yourself why Iran & not Saudi Arabia? Particularly since the differences in how women are treated are vastly different.

Yep quite the bind that one.

She personally paid for charter flights to get women out of Afghanistan when the taliban took over again. She personally funds a womens shelter for victims of domestic abuse. She has donated millions of her fortune to help women and children around the world. You can get to fuck if you're trying to insinuate that she doesn't actually care about women and is simply "anti trans". Not everything is about you, not even the holocaust. Cry more and get over it ffs.

Ask yourself why you have confused her with a politician rather than a woman with specific interests who happens to have a following due to her actual job, being an author.

Why Iran? Why not Saudi Arabia where the education, work standards & other social standards are significantly worse?

Well I'm not convinced they are, Saudi is improving, if slowly. I've had several Saudi female PhD students on state scholarships under my watch at work over the last decade, and not a single Iranian one, not that the plural of anecdote is data.

Who said she's a politician? She has openly pressured political parties as an activist. But is selective on her activism which is the point.

Why transwoman when it benefits a male and why woman when it something they want to demand?

Why the petty unrealistic hypocritical criticism of JKR constantly?

Doing too much politicking whilst simultaneously doing not enough politicking.

It's almost as if men just want to shit on a woman for speaking or doing remotely politically by bashing her for everything. She should just know her place. Yep we get it perfectly.

Meanwhile We Still Have Eyes.

murasaki · 22/06/2026 00:53

Well she's never pressured anyone to the level of smashing up their constituency office, unlike your friends Bashback.

In fact I'm not sure she's pressured anyone, just said what she thinks. Amd spent her money where she wants to, as is her right.

Iran's education of women in both university & literacy is one of the highest in the world so they don't need to go elsewhere. And that's not just for their elites.

Well that may be so, but funding them to go elsewhere if they wish is a mark of an improving society.

It's a curious phenomenon isn't it, where one point of disagreement over a deeply-held view triggers a maniacal drive to reinterpret everything else in a negative light.

"Word salad" = challenging facts

I'm quoting jewish holocaust sources so are you suggesting they are anti semitic?

And being anti Palestine is anything but pro jewish. You are confusing Israelis with Jews here....which is anti semitic by assuming they are a monolith. Jews inside & outside of Israel are anti Israeli government & form many of the activist groups against them.

That JK Rowling has very little to say if anything about tens of thousands of women murdered & ethnic cleansed by the Israeli government tells you exactly how selective her concerns for women's rights are.

I suspect for JKR its probably a matter ditching the anti semitic tag & aligning her support with right wing parties as a quid pro quo arrangement who are more supportive of the far right government of Israel. The trans panic & right wing ascendance being two sides of the same coin.

No, it's about the wording of your posts. They all sound like a thesis that has been run through ChatGPT, instead of talking like a normal person.

Those same 'sources' who were lied to about Rowling? I grew up reading about elves and goblins in Enid Blyton books and other books, and no one called elves and goblins Jewish and Jewish caricatures. Funny that. Funny that it's only JKR's books that are attacked.

Males in female spaces is not 'trans panic'. It's more like male panic.

It's also quite telling that you don't care about the women and girls the Palestinians/Hamas raped and dragged their dead bodies in the streets and filmed it. So don't pretend you care about women's rights.

The facts are the far right exploits culture war issues like trans to expand their base. That your deeply held view causes you to 'look away' from enabling a profoundly misogynist, racist & homophobic party to power says more about a maniacal drive to reinterpret reality than anything else.

"If I were to remain silent, I'd be guilty of complicity."

-Albert Einstein

This isn't about a trivial issue like toilet etiquette but a genocide.

The rights of rape survivors like myself to have female only spaces away from males to get undressed, attend to toileting issues etc is not a 'trivial' issue. It is at the very heart of womens hard won sex based rights.

Get back to us when you wish to comment on Hamas/Palestine genocide of the Jewish people. And they have made it very clear that they wish to wipe Jews off the planet entirely, where ever they find them. Not just in Israel.
