Fewer? Confused

Just logged on to Sainsbury's and they're a smidge colourful, but iirc in previous years my eyes would have been besieged by Richie York Vainly Battling by this point in June.

Is this trend on its slide down?

No sign of the Holy Month at all in my Tesco and just the rainbow underline thing on the website.
It's interesting that you can find the Pride all year blurb online if you look hard enough. Tesco obviously showing one face to the activists and another to the public who, they have correctly judged, are sick of it.

I don’t have time to do that, and that wasn’t my question. Maybe I wasn’t clear so let me rephrase it a bit.

As a woman I don’t find these flags problematic and I was hoping to understand what the issue with them is, i.e. is Mumsnet still just anti-trans or have people on here moved towards outright homophobia these days.

This particular woman joined the Gay Liberation Front in the early 1970s to fight against all-too-common horrible behaviour relative to people being homosexual, and was delighted when, in the decades between then and say 2005, lesbians, gays and bisexual people finally got a little help, and even changes to the laws against them, to work to prevent the vile (and too often fatal) prejudice against them.

I am pissed off that the flag which was proudly used by lesbians, gays and bisexuals to defy the vile behaviour of too many people who attacked them has been hijacked to signalise a month devoted to people who are something other than those for whom the rights were hard-won.

I don't hate trans people. I just wish they would do their own thing and stop stealing other people's (be the other people women, gays, or people with DSDs) to further their cause.

Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce are brandishing the progress flag version of their logo on social media. I don't see this as inclusive. Whenever I see the progress version of the rainbow flag I think of lesbian interveners and why they needed to intervene. It's mindless, and honestly heartless.

I would also suggest it's bad business. Sigh.

Nothing obvious in my local Sainsburys today (I don't use the handheld scanners though).

Ooh. I think Ill swap allegiance from Sainsbury's- and tell them why. Am a bit cross about their decision to phase out brown eggs to go net zero. Apparently white eggs come from smaller birds and so have a lower carbon footprint.

The white eggs are the same size as the brown ones so I’d be questioning the birds’ welfare. I’ve noticed the white eggs don’t peel easily from hard boiled compared to the brown ones due to thinner shells.

These were my thoughts too. I'm going to get my eggs elsewhere.

I don't think there's any particular difference between white eggs and brown as regards size or thickness of shell; they just come from different breeds of chicken.

Lidl have recently had white or brown fairly indiscriminately (I have both colours in the fridge at the moment) and honestly they seem pretty-much the same to me.

The only real difference would be that you can paint white ones for Easter and it's harder to do that with speckledy brown ones, but I haven't yet established if the date-stamp comes off when they are boiled, because that has only just occurred to me!

The only thing I've seen is Google Play sending a push notification about Happy Pride or something, which I have turned off.
I've just looked at our small town's website to see what joys we're being offered; A display in the precinct and some drag queens, apparently.

I did see that there's a local youth monthly meet up, which is fair enough, except the age range is 13 to 25. 😲

It's always about cost and profit. They can feed the hens less.
I know times are harder, but please anybody who can, pay the extra and get organic for the welfare of the hens. Xx

Just left Hello Fresh after seeing this on Instagram.

It is a race to the bottom (aha, see what I did there?) when it comes to Pride alright. Not really what I want to be thinking about when I'm eating my meals.... 🤮

Edgy marketing for the lose - no way I'm using HF after that particular mental image 💩
