Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Arrested V-tuber (who is a man who identifies as trans) suggested “going after Mumsnet” in 2020 to fully deprive British women critical of gender ideology a space to discuss their concerns with trans-identified males.

I saw this when looking at a different Reduxx link.

https://reduxx.info/popular-female-v-tuber-arrested-for-possessing-indecent-drawings-of-children-is-exposed-as-trans-identified-male/

"A popular V-Tuber who was recently arrested for possessing indecent non-photographic images of children has been revealed as a trans-identified male. Jordan Williams, also known as “Alexandra Williams” or Mimi Yanagi, was exposed by keen investigators on controversial forum KiwiFarms.

Controversy surrounding Williams first exploded last week after a post was made to his X account revealing that he had been arrested in the UK on April 20 and had been forced to migrate to a new account as a condition of his bail.

“On Monday April 20th, Mimi was arrested by the UK Police for possession of her artwork, and her artwork alone. She’s currently on bail pending the outcome of a criminal investigation into her accounts and activities. All of her devices were seized as a result of the arrest,” the post read."

Continues in the link above.

Its okay! AI has revealed all. We ARE the secret forum, quote:

... there is a dedicated, highly specialized, and often controversial sub-forum known as "Feminism: sex & gender discussions - women's rights", which acts as a "naughty corner" or a "niche space" that is heavily moderated or segregated from the main, general site activity ...

There were times when the threads on FWR did not appear in Active - maybe that's what they mean when they say 'secret'?

A secret board? Wow.

Can someone let me on there? Are the recipe and snack suggestions even better?!

This.

The paranoia is painful to watch. No women here want to hurt anyone. They just want single sex spaces and safeguarding. (Largely about not hurting anyone.)

No man is ever going to be harmed by a woman refusing to take her clothes off for him. He really isn't.

To be fair i don’t mind hurting someone’s feelings if it means women get single sex spaces.

I bet they are... but no one here knows where it is!

Maybe Beetle has it hidden along with the right-wing money that we keep being told we are given (but never get).

I am not good on dates but if that conicides with the time when moderating shifted up a gear to such an extent that many of the very well informed long standing poster (with good political analysis) just gave up and moved away.

As well as the remarkably stupid and not asked for splitting of the long standing FWR forum so that "nice" feminists could have a space and not have to think about the TRA agenda! (which to be fair some on this forum at the time agreed with).

So it is consequential. Although to be fair a lone online "activist" probably had no more or even less impact than pressure from advertisers. Which are very own home grown TRAs were more than happy to use to arm their campaign against women's sex based rights and try to silence GC discussion.

The special moderation rules were launched in May 2018 I think. There’s a recording of me asking Sheila Jeffreys what she thought about them at a We Need to Talk event the same day.

Thanks that's interesting. So long before V tuber made out they were at the forefront of a TRA fightback against MN FWR the undermining had started.

Such a shame given the role that FWR played in responding the Government consultation on making gender recognition virtually self identification. (No time to look up the actually wording - sorry!)

Although I suppose it was also the role of the be kind feminism that also contributed to it.

What was or is We Need to Talk?

Thanks

Venice Allan’s original group (predating WPUK etc) which became Standing for Women with KJK, notoriously the first meeting was the one at Speakers Corner in 2017 where Maria McLachlan was attacked (I and several other FWR regulars were there too).

Thanks I do remember all of that, but would not be able to place it by date.

Do you remember it, or have you just kept sensible notes?

I think (in terms of my hazy memory) it was reading Venice Allen's facebook posts that made me more aware of just how wide spread the TRA message had become.

It was, almost a cliche now, about arrogant university students trying to take over a local women's group.

I suppose had we known what was to come we should all have been archiving sequence of events like this somewhere.

Strange to think that Meta probably has the most extensive collection of historical GC / SBR posts etc..

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/05/2026 02:45

I remember it well, seeing a woman getting beaten up by TRAs metres away isn’t something you forget.

Absolutely - I just meant its the date bit I can never remember Sad

But I went to this https://lilymaynard.com/linda-bellos-and-venice-allan-a-case-to-answer/ which I remember clearly - but not the date.

I’d left for the venue by then, but the things I remember most are the TRAs following us & then standing outside shouting BURN IT DOWN!

It was an emergency backup venue. Venice had originally booked her local library & invited Stonewall to come & put their side, but they preferred to bully the library into cancelling.

The "secret" board that's so secret nobody actually knows about it.
Okay.

Aggressive co-ordinating and doxing of home addresses and work places only comes from one side, and it's not ours.

I did often think when they told me about this that the whole idea came from "we are doing this to 'terfs' so obviously they must be doing this to us"...

I didn't know about any of this, I came late to the party, I think about 2021 or just after the Scottish parliament passing of that ridiculous bill. I remember thinking, eh?! I had heard rumblings of jk Rowling apparently being "Voldemort now" but I didn't believe it, so read her essay, realised I agreed with it all. Hadley Freeman leaving the guardian was also a push for me, there was a link to an article she'd written about why she was leaving in the comments below her final goodbye article and once I'd read it, I saw what was happening. I Googled women's rights and this Mumsnet board came up!

I'm glad I found it tbh it's been a lifesaver, especially living in Scotland. Our politicians are all mad up here. It's truly infected every aspect of our public services. I hate it all.

INeedAPensieve · 15/05/2026 09:47

Also this man is awful, and they say it never happens eh?! 😔

The tragic irony....

Reddit TRAs: CSA drawings? Of course they should not be censored! Censorship is bad and authoritarian.

Also Reddit TRAs: SHUT DOWN MUMSNET!! NO HUMAN CAN BE ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT THE REALITY OF BEING PHYSICALLY FEMALE RATHER THAN MALE!!

ChestnutSquash · 15/05/2026 11:02

I wonder if the people who inssted on the split realised what/ who they were supporting, or perhaps it was a deliberate strategy by TRAs all along?
