Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Arrested V-tuber (who is a man who identifies as trans) suggested “going after Mumsnet” in 2020 to fully deprive British women critical of gender ideology a space to discuss their concerns with trans-identified males.

I saw this when looking at a different Reduxx link.

https://reduxx.info/popular-female-v-tuber-arrested-for-possessing-indecent-drawings-of-children-is-exposed-as-trans-identified-male/

"A popular V-Tuber who was recently arrested for possessing indecent non-photographic images of children has been revealed as a trans-identified male. Jordan Williams, also known as “Alexandra Williams” or Mimi Yanagi, was exposed by keen investigators on controversial forum KiwiFarms.

Controversy surrounding Williams first exploded last week after a post was made to his X account revealing that he had been arrested in the UK on April 20 and had been forced to migrate to a new account as a condition of his bail.

“On Monday April 20th, Mimi was arrested by the UK Police for possession of her artwork, and her artwork alone. She’s currently on bail pending the outcome of a criminal investigation into her accounts and activities. All of her devices were seized as a result of the arrest,” the post read."

Continues in the link above.

This is truly why we need places like Mumsnet (andX..)

Those things that never happen just keep happening, don't they?

And as for this individual being referred to as 'her' - not our bloody crimes. A woman didn't do this, a MAN did.

MoonWoman69 · 14/05/2026 12:01

What a revolting piece of shit! If that's the sort of thing he's creating and posting, then he deserves to be cancelled out! We don't need these kind of sick and twisted people in the world. Whatever way he puts things or portrays them, at the end of the day, he's nothing more than a trans-identifying paedophile. And he has the cheek to moan about people being gender critical?! When things like this come to light, it's no wonder we are!
Thank you for sharing, I would think a lot of people weren't aware of him, I wasn't until I read this.

Much as I may have disagreed - sometimes vehemently - with moderation decisions, Justine posted last year about the pressure they'd been under to close down discussion. And this Reddit post shows exactly where it was coming from - how dare women gather and talk and organise?

In the fullness of time I suspect the GC corner of MN will be seen as pivotal in the fight back for women's rights. And in the meantime we can just rejoice in the fact that lads like "NebulaMink" didn't get their way.

The most I can see I think Mumsnnet may have been the thin thin line that kept all of this back and enabled the swing back. If it hadn't been here I don't think there was an alternative UK source where people, obviously mainly women, could discuss these issues and the impact of the line not breaking cannot be overestimated.

ArabellaScott · 14/05/2026 12:04

I know MN are aware of attempts to shut us down but I wonder if Site stuff post might be useful?

Yes, i agree. It was when Justine detailed the pressure they'd been under that i truly realised how hard it had been to maintain the space, and how some of the rules made sense in retrospect, even if they seemed draconian at the time. Many other companies would have backed down on the issue.

FireHorse2026 · 14/05/2026 12:18

If it weren't for Mumsnet would we have FWS? FWS has been so pivotal for the GC cause and I believe those women met on Mumsnet. Maybe they would have met elsewhere if Mumsnet had been shut down, maybe not. I'm so glad Justine held strong against what was probably an onslaught!

I truly appreciate this space and recognise the difficulties MN has faced.

On the one hand, MN is derided and sneered at by TRAs (prosecco whatever-it-was, bored mummies, middle aged women with nothing to do) and yet on the other MN is perceived as a serious threat that warrants it being closed down.

Without MN we wouldn’t have @KnottyAuty ‘s NHS audit.

And it's been a pleasure, and very educational to hang out with such a fantastic group of clever and hardworking women (and some men!). Personally I've learned a lot, both legally and biologically re dsds etc.

Some people still persist in sticking their fingers in their ears and going 'la la la' , but watching the tide turn, one tribunal at a time, has been very satisfying.

But there was (and possibly still is) a successful campaign to remove sex realist voices from X sharing a dodgy link to "help" another GC woman to get on some EU something. I was one of those accounts that were then subsequently taken over and two-factor authorisation put in place by the hacker. Despite trying several times to get X to reverse it, I've not been able to get my account back, only to get it suspended.

CassOle · 14/05/2026 13:11

Also, the "keen investigators on controversial forum KiwiFarms" should be thanked. No wonder the lolicon fans hate that site so much, and people keep trying to shut it down.

Not just UK. I found MN after searching for anywhere where gender critical views could be shared.

@Keeptoiletssafe Which I think, from memory, is your excellent work? 😊
