Sorry for the link.https://www.dailymail.com/tvshowbiz/article-15759671/Suzy-Eddie-Izzard-kids-one-day-mother-death.html

Apparently Suzie Eddie Izzard has said he would like to have children some day.

Do we think 64 year old Suzie Eddie will be in girl mode or boy mode when he reproduces? And will the Suzie Eddie baby call Suzie Eddie mummy or daddy?

Answers on a postage stamp.

Who wants a parent 64 years older than them? Such a stupid and selfish idea. It's ridiculous whoever you are.

Overtheatlantic · Yesterday 02:34

I think she has problems to address and one of them is thinking that she can either have a baby or adopt a baby at 64. Practically and morally it would be wrong.

He!

In fairness, the Daily Mail headline is a bit clickbaity.

The quote from the article says:

"Izzard spoke to Gyles Brandreth on the Rosebud podcast and said: 'I would be very happy to have children. But at the moment it's not there. Never say never.'
She added: 'I am trans, but I fancy women, I've always fancied women, never fancied boys or men, it just doesn't work for me.' While discussing her love life and hopes for the future, Eddie admitted that she is not actively looking for love right now because she is 'happy' in her own company."

And the other comment was:

"In the podcast chat Mine said to her: 'Of course you're gonna be impacted by your mom's passing forever. You know, we just move with the grief and it becomes part of us one way. But yeah. Do you feel like, so you don't have your own children do you or family...?' Suzy replied: 'No, I would, I would like to have them but umm...' "

So it doesn't really sound as if Eddie is actively setting out to have children in any meaningful way. He is many things, but stupid isn't one of them. I would hope - perhaps naively! - that he would recognise how deeply immoral it would be to have a child in his mid-60s. Either way, he's single at the moment and not even looking for a relationship so hopefully this is all just wishful thinking on his part and nothing more.

Very interesting though, isn't it? I can't think of a woman who would be entertaining having a baby in her mid-60s. So handy for Eddie that he can switch between "girl mode" and "boy mode" as the needs arise. Isn't that just the perfect example of womanhood.....not.

IDontHateRainbows · Yesterday 05:09

Nothing says 'I'm a man' like choosing to become a parent in your 60s, does it Suzyeddy?

LeftieRightsHoarder · Yesterday 05:22

I am trans, but I fancy women, I've always fancied women, never fancied boys or men, it just doesn't work for me

So an ordinary heterosexual male sex fetishist then. With ordinary male privilege, eg to threaten teenage girls who object to finding him in the women’s toilets.

He has many many problems. Thinking putting a dress and lippy on makes him a woman being amongst them.

loislovesstewie · Yesterday 06:37

I think Eddie needs to read exactly what he said. He's a heterosexual man in a dress. He's acting out a fetish in public. I'm really so cheesed off with all of this. Beam me up Scotty!

He is a complete dicksplat of a man.

🍌💦

EmpressaurusKitty · Yesterday 07:00

If he was going to have them, my guess would be surrogacy.

AnticsNShenanigans · Yesterday 07:03

I remember Eddie as a young comedian, years ago. He was funny and seemed quite clever.

I can’t equate him with this old man ‘Suzy’, wearing a bad ‘woman’ costume and bleating on about having a bay-beh ‘some day’.

Fantasist on every level.

Pabbel · Yesterday 07:28

Agree, as a young comedian he was fantastic, such a shame he has reduced himself to this sad image , what a wasted talent...does he still have a career?

SirChenjins · Yesterday 07:31

India has a cervix he could borrow if he does decide to go ahead with a pregnancy.

This! 20+ years ago I enjoyed his stand up about tranvestitites in French very funny. I haven't really followed him for a long time and feel strangely disappointed that he's now doing the trans thing.
As PP said, talking about having children in your 60s sounds v male entitlement, as does the long list of requirements for him to date them.

Gettingbysomehow · Yesterday 07:33

Bloody stupid and selfish. Nobody wants a parent that old. Im the same age as Izzard and Im about ready to retire not have more children.

God yes, biological woman India could carry the baby for him. Perfect.

He tried politics I think, but even woke Brighton couldn’t take him seriously.

Why can’t you just leave people alone? Why so much hatred? Eddie/Suzie has proven to be an enduring and much loved talent who has brought joy to millions. For those who for some reason think he’s washed up, he’s been doing a world tour of his solo Hamlet since 2024 with over 250 performances so far.

SirChenjins · Yesterday 07:53

Oh there it is - hatred 😂

No, it's simply pointing out the ridiculousness of it all.

I completely agree with this. I absolutely loved him. Went to seen him live several times and still quote some of his best stuff. His earlier shows have me crying with laughter. I had so much respect for him. I just don’t recognise what he’s turned himself into. Makes me sad and cross.

He!

I think most biological women would argue that case.🙄

Wowthatwasabigstep · Yesterday 08:07

What a silly man he is, clearly desperate for attention.

What an overinflated ego he must have to think that anybody is interested in his life.

DialSquare · Yesterday 08:16

Maybe he can impregnate himself on his boy days.
