This has been making the rounds in the US. Apparently closed her practice the day it happened.

Probs because your asthma wasn't sufficiently affirming. Ask for advice about vaginal dryness next time; he'll be over the moon.

I think you're spot on with this.

They will be trained to restrain people who might be carrying a concealed weapon.

Their training would be to handcuff the person to ensure that they could not

  • use a concealed weapon
  • punch someone in the face
  • kick (being handcuffed affects your balance)
  • pick something up up off a table and bash someone over the head with it
  • make a grab for an officer's firearm
  • etc.

The officers have been called to a court room with a panic button operated by court staff (in this case the judge) It's a panic button, the situation requires immediate action.

When asked, the lawyer refused to be handcuffed so the officers escalated. When law enforcement say that they are going to arrest and handcuff you, it is not the opening line in a debate.

She fought back when they escalated so they escalated further. In the end it took four officers to get her under control. Four officers seems excessive but is not uncommon as each officer will try to restrain a single limb. The person resisting arrest is overwhelmed to prevent them hurting themselves or others.

Once the judge had pressed the panic button, the outcome was always going to be that the lawyer would be leaving the court in handcuffs with officers. The ensuing battle is terrible to watch but she walked out of the courtroom, no blood spilled, no broken bones.

The whole situation could have been avoided if the lawyer had just followed the instructions they were given. Instead she decided to rage like a adolescent male who has had too much to drink on a Friday night out - so perhaps she has indeed achieved gender transition.

they had to protect themselves from being bitten, as well.

100%, I've thought this a lot. Nautral puberty occurs gradually within a social context that expects it. Chempuberty must be like a lorry slamming into someone at the wrong time from the wrong direction by comparison.

I think this is probably true for both sexes, TiM as well as TiF. The TiM may not have the power of testosterone to deal with but they are still having to deal with hormonrs that have big mental and emotional impacts.

It is not ‘Chempuberty’ it basically the bodies reaction to a toxic overdose.

@PonyPatter44 Have you ever tried to restrain a toddler who is raging? To strap them into a buggy car seat and ended up sweating?

You're infinitely bigger than them and somehow they exert massive energy to resist.

To restrain someone at this level of anger/distress safely it takes 4 people -which is what they ended up with.

It's a hard watch. Ultimately it seemed like a huge culture clash between small town America court room with the expectation of lawyerly behaviour and someone from 'out of town' with an entirely different set of expectations of how they should be treated - which went awry.

@ArabellaScott I understand what you're saying about treating this individual with sympathy - and that would be true if you were dealing with them in a therapeutic setting. This was not that setting - in this setting this individual was required to behave in a certain manner, to comply with the rules of the court, to do their job as a professional.

Yes, her behaviour was wrong and inappropriate. I just mean in a wider sense it is heartbreaking. And I can't watch women being manhandled without a visceral response.
