And, actually, well done to all the wims (and men) on here.

I'm constantly in awe of the knowledge, insight and resilience of the posters on here.

Keep going! It's happening, it's turning!

borntobequiet · 20/02/2026 21:10

It’s almost as though all these allegedly clever people didn’t actually realise that puberty blockers actually…block puberty. Until now.

Cars4Gov · 20/02/2026 21:10

The risks to long-term fertility will be discussed with each CYP child,"

Seeing, child written feels so chilling. How can an adult sit in front of a child and discuss options and as someone above mentioned how would you propose getting eggs or sperm from a child...awful just awful.

CrocsNotDocs · 20/02/2026 20:55

One of the most appalling things about gender ideology is that it pretends its young child victims as wiser, smarter and more self-aware than bog-standard children.

Whereas in reality the children caught up in this are already children struggling with other mental health conditions and wider learning disorders. I have come across a child who was puberty blocked at aged 11 who had foetal alcohol syndrome, an IQ of 70 and who was living out of home (deliberately being a bit vague) who was still deemed able to consent.

Activists say, “If you could just meet the children you’d understand”, whereas if the cohort was introduced to the wider public everyone would be WTF. They’re not the sparkly, bright articulate trans-identified kids you see on TV. They’re anxious, socially isolated children without a strong sense of self.

Excellent news. I see IW is having a tantrum already 😂

APinkMohairJumperKnittedByAnImbecile · 20/02/2026 21:19

Are these new concerns the same old concerns that everyone has always had but no one in charge listened to?

As someone who didn’t experience / know what an orgasm was until my late 20’s despite being sexually active since 18 ( yes, I know!!) and having met numerous people who were anti or ambivalent about having children until their 30’s, I can’t imagine it’s ever really possible to meaningfully consent a child or young person under 18 about sexual pleasure/ fertility impacts. It’s always predicated from the perspective of adult transitioners who wish their body was different in adulthood. When you consider the bias/ dissuasion and assertion of risks regarding HRT for mature, capable women that goes on by some medical practitioners, it makes this trial doubly hard to understand.

I find it quite shocking, actually, that people can STILL go round merrily spouting outright lies ("PBs are reversible") with such blasé impunity.

Along with the completely unsubstantiated ones such as "most marginalised" wah wah nonsense. They literally just made it up!

I think people like India know full well if you pack enough bullshit into one sentence, it becomes impossible to rebut without looking like a lunatic yourself. So you have to pick only the most dangerous lie to deal with, and then the rest gets written into canon.

Edited

This is already sometimes done / should be considered for children facing cancer treatment …the crucial difference though is the reason for doing so.

Agree Palestine?

For once it’s adults losing it not children being harmed so that’s good.

ProfDrLapwing · 20/02/2026 21:35

How could children and young people ever be able to give informed consent to this potentially life altering experiment? It’s just not possible. I can’t understand how it could gain ethical approval in the first place.

Yes. Children with cancer are physically unwell. The children confused about what sex they are will be physically healthy but mentally unwell.

The idea we've allowed the NHS to sterilise and physically mutilate healthy children in the name of this ideology is sickening.

Soontobe60 · 20/02/2026 21:37

Hannah Barnes has done an epic job of pulling the whole Pathways abomination to pieces. In reading about one of the questionnaires proposed, it’s clear that too many people haven’t already done a deep dive into the ethics of the project.
Photos to follow.

Well done James and Kiera! This is good news although I would love to know what new information has come forward. Same as the old information I imagine

Apparently the ethcs committee met by Zoom for one meeting of nine participants. Members asked questions, made some recommendations and passed the matter to a sub-committee. The next meeting had five decision-makers. The final decision in November was made by a sub-committee of three.

That's how little they were concerned about the ethics of strerilising children as young as 8 . A typical NHS shambles.

Datun · 20/02/2026 21:41

There IS no new information. There is only new politics.

Somebody, at long fucking last, is reading the writing on the wall.

And shame on them for not taking an ethical stance, rather than a political one.

I’d put money on it being brought about following Sex Matters letter sent yesterday regarding the discord between prescribing PBs to children yet schools will have to follow the law and not allow children to use opposite sex facilities / join opposite sex teams
“here little Johnny, these drugs will mean you can carry on and pretend to be a girl, but don’t forget you’ll still have to use the boys toilets”

I raise my glass of Calvados to everyone involved in this decision.

First of all, do no harm.

Yes! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Not yet RTFT but hooray for common sense starting to creep through.

Obviously no 14+ year old should be experimented upon but this is a huge step in the right direction.

For me, top billing should be the impact on the developing brain. From what we already know about development milestones, and can extrapolate from that, PBs stop important adolescent brain development from ever happening. Causing infertility is bad enough, but no child should ever be left with a very high risk of permanent brain damage as a consequence of medical "treatment".

Edited to add: video is Sallie Baxendale explaining the impact of PBs on the developing brain.
