LGBT Youth Scotland are being sued by a former client (no names please as theirs an anonymity order in place).
They've failed in a strike out order and now there's going to be an 8 day trial.
Link to crt documents in the tweet.

From the Times article: "Dr Mhairi Crawford, the LGBTTS chief executive, said: “Board positions such as convener are separate and distinct from the senior leadership team [who] have day-to-day operational responsibility for the charity. During an election period it is disappointing but not surprising that attempts are being made to link this story to partisan politics."

Translation: "There is no wrongdoing, this just an attempt to smear us. It's all lies, despite evidence to the contrary. I repeat, THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVE ALONG PLEASE."

'Westwood previously campaigned to become a Conservative councillor in Dartford in 2019, stood for Labour in Bromley, Greater London, in 2022 and attempted to become president of the National Union of Students, but was unsuccessful on each occasion.'

Where did they find this man?!

Id guess at grifter central, all aboard the scot gov gravy train

You can see why they were tempted to appoint him - the ability to run for election at least three times and be on various boards and in management positions and a law degree all before the age of 25 as well as a completely scrubbed Internet footprint and cheekbones for <checks photo> miles.....

I read this earlier and also noted he's 25, a "lawyer" with a CV as long as your arm and nobody thought "Hang on a minute". Just demonstrates the complete lack of critical thinking embedded in this culture like "Blackpool" through a stick of rock.

Exactly. How on earth anyone with this CV would be wanting to work at a relatively minor charity escapes me. Which means there's a reason why that person couldn't get a job somewhere else or it simply isn't true.

It should have raised a red flag but clearly didn't, either because they couldn't or wouldn't see the acres of flapping scarlet fabric.

Somebody at this 'charity' (given it's funded by public money I'd characterize it as a quango myself) needs to explain what the pigging hell they're up to with this load of rubbish. 🤯

Anyone want to lay bets on this not being Lord Timothy's last rodeo? I'd put money on him popping up somewhere else in a couple of years. Possibly in the Antipodes. The grift is strong with this one.

As an aside, I'd forgotten about Rosie Millard taking a stand against this shit. Well done that woman.

The internet? The AI picture above is incredible.

It reminds me of one of those police indentikit images from the 70s and 80s.

@SardinesOnButteredToasti worked there during that time and with AR. Most staff of that time have long moved on and tried to distance themselves from the organisation, apart from a staunch inner circle who remain. Staff were treated appallingly. Some shocking things went on.

We worked with very vulnerable young people who were not supported appropriately. I often wonder where many of them ended up. Many of the individual staff were genuinely caring, smart and supportive but the organisation itself has massive flaws and failures. Anyone who saw it for what it was, or called it out, didn't stay long, leaving behind the toxic old guard and the cycle continues. If you spoke up about anything you would pay for it.

WearyLeader · 15/04/2026 17:57

Sorry, why are they talking as though they need to ID some kind of specific delict for there to be a case to answer? There are all sorts of statutory duties, criminal laws and administrative law principles that could be relevant here. That’s an extraordinary interpretation of the situation.

Because it is this particular charity and given their history, grifter is the best possible option tbh.
