I respectfully disagree. Transvestite has always referred to men. Generally *cross dressers. Those men getting a sexual thrill from it, which we now know is AGP.

The odd woman dressing like a male would not be a transvestite. As for the new fad of such girls or women, that’s mostly social contagion, which is dying out, those females are generally lesbians.

I used to feel sorry for transvestites, now I know what AGP is, what men will do, especially the harrowing tales from trans widows…. the hatred of women, the cover ups of paedophila, the invasion of women’s safe spaces, the gaslighting of children.

not * referring to drag queens who are mostly homosexual men, with some transsexuals.

I was thinking of nineteenth century Lesbian culture which did include some cross-dressing, I think (just as eighteenth century gay culture included men dressing as women, and using 'molly houses' for assignations). Certainly, when I think if a transvestite I think of a man in hyper-sexualised women's clothing. I was not thinking of women wearing male clothing as a sexual turn-on, either.
