Graham Linehan arrested on arrival at Heathrow Part 5

ProfessorIDareSay · 25/11/2025 15:17

We now have a verdict so I will post up more information once I get my coat off!

These threads have mostly been used to follow the case that has taken place at Westminster Magistrate's Court over the 4th and 5th September, (and will continue on the 29th October), but were created to follow the fallout of Graham's arrest at Heathrow on his return to the UK for this court case last week, and what is allegedly a conspiracy of TRAs to intimidate and harass a number of people, including Graham, with the alleged support of various police services.
He is currently on trial for alleged harassment of a trans identified male and criminal damage to the man's phone. The charges stem from a series of events in October 2024 at Battle of Ideas.

Graham's account of the arrest here

Or buy him a coffee here
Free Speech Union are running a fundraiser to support a claim against the Met in reference to the Heathrow arrest. Just search FSU and Graham Linehan fundraiser and it should be easy to find. At the time of posting it has reached 64% of its stretch target.
The FSU have managed to get the bail condition that @Glinner must not post on X removed, so he is now freely posting on there again.
Most of the mainstream media have reported on the case, but none have covered it as well as Nick Wallis. Follow him on X for live posting from the court again on 29th October.
You can support Nick here (posted Friday 5th September):
"I am deeply grateful to everyone who has seen fit to bung me the cost of a coffee, a pint or even a bloody London pint since I found out I was able to come back today. If you think you can afford to make a small donation, there’s more info here:"

I just got arrested again

I arrived back in London to discover the UK is still a police state run by trans activists

Trans Reddit and trans Bluesky (ie all of it 😆) are having a normal one, as you can imagine...

BezMills · 02/05/2026 12:34

I'm quietly satisfied that the aggravating thug was found to be full of shit by the court. Maybe he can call himself a wahmbulance using his new phone.

AccordingToWhom · 02/05/2026 20:36

The incident with Hayden's skirt was weird. I wonder if it split or something?

highame · 18/05/2026 08:03

Does anyone know if he's still taking legal action?

Nothing yet but Free Speech Union may want to continue and they're taking the case I think

ArabellaScott · 18/05/2026 08:16

I hope they do. Its not a personal slight that an apology will solve. Its systemic prejudiical state authoritarianism that needs to be exposed and ended.

Glinner gets an apology from the Met

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/17/met-police-apologises-graham-linehan-heathrow-arrest/

'unreserved'!

Does anyone know if he's still taking legal action?

Thank you for sharing that article.

The report also accepted that the investigation had been “adversely affected” by the lack of experience of the overworked trainee detective in charge, and by poor supervision from his bosses.

So the Met detective was already overloaded with actual crime, yet instead of giving this the priority it deserved, it was decided to increase his workload further?

How many times have victims of crime in London been told that their cases, robbery, assault, burglary etc will not be dealt with due to workload?

We need police forces to regain sanity very quickly and stop pandering to these disordered men.

Now reported in the Times

https://archive.ph/yndJk

https://www.thetimes.com/uk/crime/article/met-police-apologises-graham-linehan-h5rndxxnz

The language the Inspector uses sprained my eyes

Inspector Matt Hume, from the Met Police’s directorate of professional standards, said in a report: “I accept that the service provided was not acceptable and recognise the distress and impact this matter has caused Mr Linehan.”

The Met concluded that while the arrest was lawful, aspects of the investigation were flawed and misunderstood, with officers focusing on the anti-transgender nature of Linehan’s posts and inadequately on the alleged incitement to violence.

'The service'!? 'The service'!? It was an arrest, not a pizza delivery! Also, if there's a way to arrest someone without 'distress and impact' I'm all ears.

Also the Times did a wee feature on a member Glinner's legal team

https://archive.ph/38NgH

https://www.thetimes.com/uk/law/article/daniel-berke-defended-graham-linehan-in-case-over-trans-activists-phone-g67r9cbl6

He says

The police and Crown Prosecution Service devoted unusually significant resources to the case.

If this is his honest observation I'm minded to think it wasn't just the 'activist group' who saw this as a 'scalp or medal'.

Met police apologise to Graham Linehan over trans posts arrest

The Father Ted co-creator’s detention at Heathrow over tweets was ‘unacceptable and caused distress’, a report concludes

ProfessorIDareSay · 18/05/2026 09:58

Yet again though The Times calls Graham ‘anti-trans’. Someone there has a bee in their bonnet about him.

"Linehan’s anti-trans commentary has defined much of his public profile in recent years. In October he grabbed the phone of a 17-year-old trans activist outside of the Battle of Ideas conference and threw it across the road. He was convicted for criminal damage, but this was overturned this month."

Graham Linehan’s posts about trans activist were ‘vindictive’, court hears

'Hume said: “I therefore accept that, at times, both the investigation and arrest phases lacked the diligence one would expect from the [Metropolitan Police]'

Not many people accused the Stasi.of lacking diligence.

lcakethereforeIam · 18/05/2026 11:14

Inspector Hume should go on Strictly to dance the caveat.

RoyalCorgi · 18/05/2026 11:17

I think the recent series about the Worboys investigation shows exactly what we can expect from the Met. Despite repeated reports from women that they were raped by Worboys, the police decided to blame the women themselves, enabling Worboys to carry on committing rape.

We can argue about whether the Met are malicious or inept, but either way the outcome is the same.

lcakethereforeIam · 21/05/2026 00:00

Well Glinner isn't having it

https://archive.ph/mdYKJ

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/05/20/the-met-apologised-to-me-but-i-am-not-accepting-it/

Don't blame him.

I'm finding it faintly amusing that Lynsay Watson was finally arrested using the same trick to find him as they used to arrest Glinner. Although, so afaik, without the firearms. Also Graham doesn't have form for actively avoiding the law, unlike Watson. So shenaniganery on behalf of plod was hardly necessary.

This, from the above article, paints a very partisan picture

The last straw, for me, came the day I saw the officer who arrested me in the Sophia Brooks case deep in conversation with Brooks and Stephanie Hayden. They were having a chinwag with the officer who finally got me into the dock. There they were, the three of them, sharing a moment. I don’t need an internal report to explain to me what message that sent.

Eta coupla words.
