Man wins World's Strongest Woman 2025 competition

It appears a man (Jammie Booker) has won the 2025 World's Strongest Woman competition in Arlington, Texas. Beating Andrea Thompson, who is a superb British Strongwoman, by 1 point to take the overall win.

If you don't know anything about the sport, there are reguarly accusations of strongwomen being men, as it is a normal part of the sport for both men and women to be on gear which does mean quite a lot of the women do end up with some masculinsation of their bodies and deeper voices.

However, it appears this time the accusations are correct. There is a video of Andrea angrily leaving the podium. There is a thread on the Strongman HQ Reddit(!) which links to a video of Jammie talking about being a "trans girl" complete the usual anime drawings. Same profile photo and voice, so appears to be him. The Reddit thread has not been taken down and comments, apart from pronoun policing, is largely against men competing in Strongwoman competitions.

So well done to Andrea Thompson on her first place win.

there are some posts on my FB feed protesting this result and declaring the 2nd place, Andrea Thompson, as the rightful winner. I'm sure I saw a post from Rebecca Roberts which was quite forthright, but the FB search is refusing to find it for me. Not sure whether it's just FB being shit, or whether RR has just locked down her FB after some pushback on her post (not entirely unlikely).

It's early days, I'm quite surprised that if this is the case, that a TW climbing through the ranks was not noticed sooner than them becoming world champ!

BezMills · 25/11/2025 07:08

I found the post eventually. Just FB search being crap, I think.

"I hold no hate toward transgender people. Everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the freedom to live their truth.
But I cannot stay silent about something that threatens the fairness and future of women’s strength sports.
Transgender women, people born male, should not be competing in the women’s category.
This isn’t about identity. It isn’t about politics. It’s about the undeniable physical differences that exist in strength-based sports… differences that don’t disappear, and that matter more here than almost anywhere else. Women’s categories were created for a reason, and if we lose that, we lose the foundation of our sport.
What happened this weekend wasn’t transparent. None of us knew. Not even the organisers knew. And when fairness is taken by surprise, trust in the sport begins to crack.
My message is simple.
Trans people belong in sport, but women’s divisions must remain biologically born female-only.
I love this sport. I have given my life to it. And I won’t ignore something that could quietly change it forever.
Congratulations to @andreathompson_strongwoman

Jammie only has 3 contests, all in 2025, listed on Strongman Archives. With the most recent being the win of World's Strongest Woman.

The person who I think did the initial Googling to find out Jammie is a man says they found that he is also a "trans porn star" with a lot of videos out there which leave no questions over Jammie's biological sex. I won't personally be looking into that particular accusation any further!

John Dorsey on Instagram: "I don’t agree with this - and I think a lot of you don’t either. I’m all for supporting others and their identities but I’m not for the destruction of women’s divisions because we’re too afraid of backlash from saying anythin...

Another cheating man, this time a porn obsessed one. This is shocking. But sadly not surprising. I hope the organisers give a medal to the true FEMALE winner.

MarieDeGournay · 25/11/2025 10:56

It's very disappointing for Andrea, but hopefully she is aware that for many?most? people, she IS the strongest woman in the world 2025Smile💪

NextRinny · 25/11/2025 11:09

I'm just waiting for the
"But nobody noticed until now" comments to ramp up.

We notice. We always notice but women are complicated when it comes to raising alarms. Especially when half believe the alarm is not required... another quarter believe they just need to try harder, concentrate on their game, focus and the last quarter don't want to be the first to say anything.

Small numbers overtaking groups because of silence is a playbook as old as time.

ItsCoolForCats · 25/11/2025 11:34

So what was the policy here? Is it supposed to be female only and the transwoman didn't disclose his sex?

NutButterOnToast · 25/11/2025 11:49

God this makes me so angry.

If you read BTL on goob_u2 insta there are two women posting who have been robbed of a place in the finals (she came 11th) and a woman robbed of a medal (she came 4th)

Cheating, disgraceful man. And the organisers need to look at themselves.

Jammington · 25/11/2025 11:54

The policies and testing are discussed in the Reddit link in the Op.

But without being flippant, 'Worlds Strongest Woman' is a big clue.

But yes, it appears the male who took the podium didn't feel the need to disclose that they were in fact male. No trans-pride on display in this particular arena for some reason.

Sorry this was meant to be in response to @ItsCoolForCats

Previous World’s Strongest Man title holder (and YouTuber with almost half a million viewers) speaks out against men-who-say-they-are-women competing in Strongwoman events…

lots of comments in support of Andrea, can’t see any in support of the ‘winner’.

edited to add: according to this previous champ this male-person-in-the-women’s comp is huge even by competitive Strongman standards (6’5” and 400lbs) let alone compared to Strongwoman competitors.

I'm beyond fucking furious about this. I've got skin in this game as a female strength competitor. Cheating bastard.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 25/11/2025 13:34

Another women's title gone to a man. 🤬

Autumnhasarrived2025 · 25/11/2025 14:05

I've always loved Andrea as an athlete and I think it's great she hasn't plastered on a fake smile for the photos. She looks pissed off and has every right to be.

So glad to see Mitchell Hooper is a good egg. It's fucking ridiculous 😡

TheUnusuallyQuerulentMxLauraBrown · 25/11/2025 14:53

Greg Doucette is a bit of controversial figure in the YouTube fitness category but he has his IFBB pro card as a competitive body builder and has over 2 million YouTube subscribers so I’m pleased to see him talking about this situation as well:

puffyisgood · 25/11/2025 15:04

This one is just really stupid.

Not a high profile sport but these competitors sacrifice so much for so little tangible reward, and it's near enough the single most obvious case of an activity in which male advantage is overwhelming.

puffyisgood · 25/11/2025 15:17

It's a small consolation but I suppose this result in a sense puts all of the lies about male non-advantage to bed at a single stroke.

The strongest woman in the world is trans, what are the chances eh?

puffyisgood · 25/11/2025 15:59

by the way, I looked at his social media, another 'lesbian', who'd have thought it...

NotThatWay · 25/11/2025 16:36

So glad Andrea Thompson didn't just suck it up in the #bekind way female athletes have been told do to.

Well done Andrea on coming first!!! 🏆

Autumnhasarrived2025 · 25/11/2025 17:42

Pleased to say Strongman Archives have now been updated with Andrea listed as the winner. Jammie has disappeared from the competitors list, so everyone has moved up a place. That's great but it doesn't change the fact Andrea lost that moment on the podium and she'll never get that back. While that giant man lauded it over her.

Liz from Big Loz Official has uploaded the behind-the-scenes video from the competition finale, and it’s infuriating. After Andrea wins the dumbbell ladder (with Jammie failing a lift in the background because he is actually a very crap lifter), she gives him a polite smile and high five at the end. To emphasise their height gap, Jammie stretches his arm so far that Andrea has to jump for a second attempt just to reach his hand (and fails). He's massive.

And the part on the podium at the end of the video, Andrea looks so upset rather than the anger other videos/photos have shown. Liz shouts out to her to hold the trophy up and Andrea just shakes her head at her. She looks like she is about to cry. It's awful.
