Ooo, arsebiscuits, I missed the fun of post-modernism being done all wrong.
Slurring applies to lots of instruments, (and wtf actual fuck are wood instruments in this context? Someone was over tired, or lazy, or stupid, and missed off the wind bit), it relates to bowing and blowing, at the very least.
Fingering and tonguing also have particular meaning in relation to playing musical instruments but taken out of context could cause much confuddlement, and dare I say possibly be a tad offensive. Ask a string player in a lesson or a rehearsal "Do you need a fingering?" and they very likely won't think you are offering sexual fulfillment. Asking a random woman in a pub the same question is not remotely as benign.
Define terms in context and stop trying to pretend that it means they are universal and therefore all lovely fluffy and cuddly all the time. If you are a chemist emulsion isn't just a tin of fucking paint.
