Leonardo are wonderful, exemplary employers, so anybody who brings a grievance against them is <sad face> very very wrong and perhaps even <sadder face> driven by ideology or worse still<horrified face> transphobic

Might he be a stenographer?

It's not him. The noise still carried on when he had a drink earlier, and I can't see a microphone near him.

I assume its coming from the defendents soliciter/barrister as the typing stops when she speaks

Boiledbeetle · 02/10/2025 12:42

MarieDeGournay · 02/10/2025 12:36

This is the opposite of ST asking such detailed qq of MK - what direction, what floor, who was there, was it Rachel or Ian, was it 14 weeks or 13 weeks, was it NE or NNE..

The qq to AR are - who's a good boy then? who's a good boy? yes YOU are, you're a good boy and so is Leonardo!

Letton: "It hasn't been easy to get to where we are (with union /JCC) but we work hard!"

Haha he is now struggling on the Qu about mechanisms for employees to raise concerns.

It surely wont go over the tribunal panel's heads that he is waffling, with no reference to notes, on such a key question brought by his own counsel. He seems to be the only person in the room making no reference to prepared notes, and he isn't a natural public speaker, by any stretch of the imagination.

Boiledbeetle · 02/10/2025 12:43

He finally opens the bundle

MyrtleLion · 02/10/2025 12:44

From TT

AR We have surveys to give employees the chance to feedback.
ST What is done with data
AR Info is dealt with by managers and we have top level action plans. [sound]
ST May capture range of issues, but what if employees have individual concerns.
AR Speak to LM to raise matter and then we have procedure

CriticalCondition · 02/10/2025 12:44

Has anyone else zoned out with the droning rendition of tedious corporate bollocks from this guy?

Boiledbeetle · 02/10/2025 12:45

🙄 God, he's just talking shite now

MyrtleLion · 02/10/2025 12:45

From TT

ST Grievance procedure needs employee to go through informal first
AR Yes. Necessary to go through stages.
ST Qs c Eq opportunities and diversity policy. [to bundle] To policy in force in March 2023. Summary - L is committed to providing working environment etc

I'm sure I read the other day that people are going on strike soon, so his hard work with the union clearly isn't working.

sassanach · 02/10/2025 12:46

all this talk about grievance policies, unionisation - are they trying to make their argument that she didn't follow proper grievance procedures / complain in the right way / seek the right advice?

murasaki · 02/10/2025 12:46

NC is going to have fun with him.

ThatPithySheep · 02/10/2025 12:47

I imagine he thinks this is all going very well, but he has yet to face the wrath of Naomi. He will be reaching for the bundle at that point

ickky · 02/10/2025 12:47

@murasaki I think it is today or tomorrow for the strike. They had over 18 billion profit and offering below inflation rises.

I was just thinking the same thing - I'm reading not listening, it must be even worse if you can hear him.
This is a waste of tribunal time - it's not addressing the issue, it's a complete puff piece about how wonderful L is. It's like a filibuster to avoid the actual subject of the case.

I can't wait for NC to ask some proper qq!

WandaSiri · 02/10/2025 12:47

"top level action plans"

Woo-hoo! So that's all right then. Take that, MK.

MyrtleLion · 02/10/2025 12:48

From TT

ST committed to diversity etc. Does it reflect co
AR Yes. Commitment to diversity. W
ST If there are issues where L needs further advice what steps taken
AR Make UK, would check with them
ST [ to bundle] current policies can be found on BMS. Co has policy c grievances etc.

Boiledbeetle · 02/10/2025 12:48

Might he be a stenographer?

I don’t think so. Pretty sure stenographers use a very different type of keyboard and have a different method of keystrokes

Or look we wrote down we treat all people equally so we can't possibly have not actually done that.

SlackJawedDisbeliefXY · 02/10/2025 12:49

I like that TT's helicopter has only 3 unbalanced blades and one of those appears to have fallen off.

Sort of a metaphor for Leonardo's polices

Yes, someone explained it on a previous thread, it was fascinating.

CriticalCondition · 02/10/2025 12:50

He is coming across as rather smug,.confidently rattling off this drivel without missing a beat. I'm so looking forward to seeing NC get to work on him.
