Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Women’s privacy and dignity

1000 replies

Mrspenguinsschoolforfreaks · 07/09/2025 13:43

I’ve just been to my local leisure centre swimming pool and while I was in the changing rooms a woman walked in from the showers, fully naked. I averted my eyes, and she walked quite close past me in a way which to me (and I fully accept I may well have imagined it) felt a bit pointed. I felt vaguely uncomfortable and embarrassed in the same way I would have if a man had walked in naked.

My impression is that the vast majority of people on this forum believe that it is a fundamental breach of women’s privacy and dignity if people with male biology (whether cisgender men or trans women) share changing facilities with women. Yet they do not consider that it undermines a woman’s privacy or dignity to have to get changed in front of other women, or to see other women naked.

I understand that many women have had experiences with men’s exhibitionist or voyeuristic behaviour which makes them specifically uncomfortable being undressed around men, or being around men who are undressed. But I’ve often seen the argument on here that it equally undermines men’s privacy and dignity to have to share changing facilities with women.

So my question is, do you think privacy and dignity are not infringed by having to get changed in front of people of the same sex? If not, why not?

Where's that evidence of trans identifying men being harmed in men's toilets in the UK then please?

Oh, riiiiight. There isn't any.

As has you have been told upthread, conviction details aren't recorded in the UK data for those types of crimes.

Yes, using AI because you can’t form your own arguments coherently seems to be where you’re going wrong. It’s not something we generally need to do here, because we know what we’re talking about. A quaint, old fashioned concept, I realise.

Imagine trusting AI to compose your answer and bragging about it.

But here we are.

Of course, as with most stuff computer generated, Garbage in / Garbage out. The links being posted are actually not relevant as to providing the evidence that female people should accept a group of male people into their single sex provisions.

Most of these links provided are sparple and distractions.

So why is Prick News doing such a great job of recording all the examples of gender non conforming people being attacked and harassed in women's toilets, but not bothering to do the same for equivalent incidents in men's toilets?

'he'

'It's a 'he' 'cause a 'she' would never disagree…or depend on evidence'

Feminists of the world unite! 🤡

There are plenty of women who choose to be handmaidens, either through fear, or a ridiculous notion of wanting to be seen as progressive. It IS a ‘he cause’, it’s an entitled men’s rights movement, as it doesn’t benefit women in any way whatsoever.

Yet, those incidents would be recorded as anecdotes in the media as the court cases are heard and the convictions are made.

You should be able to come up with at least one incident.

RedToothBrush · 09/09/2025 13:38

That CPS thing:
Research indicates that 62% - 73% of transgender people have experienced harassment and violence because they were identified as transgender. This included verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, physical and sexual assault.
Does this include made up shit or not?
A study in 2012, found that four fifths of respondents are fearful and avoided some situations with half saying that they avoided public toilets and gyms.
2012... I think we are safe in saying things have moved on somewhat since then.
Research indicates that 91% of transgender boys and 66% of transgender girls experienced harassment at school, leading to depression and isolation.
Chicken Egg Autism Cass Desistance and the Vegan Cat.
A report from 2015 found that fear of being treated poorly leads victims of hate crime to avoid reporting to authorities. According to the same research, 88% of LGBT people had experienced some form of hate incident.
Is this Lesbians, Gay Men or TransPeople cos again, seems to be some changes to society since 2015...
A longitudinal survey from 2013 showed that:
Once again, why the fuck are we refering to twelve year old data at this point?! It also includes homophobic stuff in that survey so again there some force teaming going on.

Is this where we all post 'False' or maybe 'Deflection' or whatever with emojis?

That you cannot even explain the relevancy of your links is quite clear.

No, you can't, because there are no known examples of it happening. If there were, you would be falling over yourself to prove it.

I'm embarrassed for you.

You have not provided anything to prove your case though.

But this is great that you are no longer going to be on these threads sealioning us. Maybe you can start to actually engage with your links and engage with your points.

MsGrumpytrousers · 09/09/2025 13:45

Actually, I think communal changing rooms are hugely valuable in allowing women of all ages to see real, normal, un-airbrushed bodies of other women. It doens't happen anywhere else.

I look forward to the answer!

It is a nightmare looking for good quality data. I have been collating it from loads of sources FOIs etc.

Local newspapers are a good source. If you search ‘toilets’ you come up with deaths in toilets, voyeurism by men which is often by hidden cameras now, public toilets being closed down due to maintenance costs of repairing vandalism and misuse (sex, drugs, people sleeping in there), and sexual assaults in toilets mainly of young women and occasionally children (both sexes).

I have no incidences of deaths or assaults mentioning a person of a different gender fortunately. I would tell you if I had though I am careful not to identify individual stories as I don’t think it’s fair on the families and friends.

Can you make a reply to a polite request for an answer to a question without an ad hominem attack JUST ONCE to prove you can actually manage it?

No, because the polite questions are sealioning, apparently.

Women should just shut up and accept his world view without questioning the dodgy data or asserting their own needs or opinions at all. Otherwise they're in a cult.

Obviously.

"Not to you of course. Non cultists are a different matter…"

I actually admire your continued optimism that what you provide, without any explanation of why it is relevant, is convincing those reading along.

It is great though, isn't it? That on a public forum every time anyone pastes a link, others have the freedom to explain the merits of that link taking the time to explain why they have found that link to be relevant, accurate or not.

It is through reading such discussions that we all learn new information that allows us to evaluate our positions on issues and make adjustments to those positions. You seem to not want to make analysis of your own links and make explanations, but others do.

The cycle will continue. Calling people you disagree with 'cultists' is also highly instructive to those reading along.

Well done again on another great day's work.

It really is fortunate that there seems to have been no reported incidents going through court. It is something that society should be celebrating.

If only you realised how much you are doing to help to dismantle this insidious, harmful ideology. The more people like you behave like this, the more people will be peaked, as many have been this week over the Graham Linehan trial.

All you are doing is demonstrating that it’s a men’s rights movement, that what you’re demanding is not only unreasonable, but it is absurd, and worst of all, it is harmful, especially to vulnerable children. And once most people are aware of that, your whole movement will collapse. Thank you for your work on Operation Let Them Speak.
