I don't ever wear a skirt either but for different reasons ... thought I would order a dress and some smart jeans and maybe some shoes ... y'know, to dress up... but I'm afraid they're not going to suit me even if I can get them on ...

Sometimes you just need that old Norn Iron saying "it would have fitted me if I could have got it on" 😉

I can’t tell you the last time I wore a skirt or a dress. Where I live is just not a place where anybody bothers to dress up but I do have a nice pair of trousers and a top for special occasions.

I love skirts and dresses, love the swishy feeling around my legs. I've been up munros in skirts before (and proper hiking boots, don't worry), one of the best feeling is, in spring, when you can wear a skirt for the first time without tights, I loved this since childhood.

The one place I don't fall asleep easily is in bed!

DH has to poke me at concerts so I'd definitely hire you and your spikes to sit next to me.

I'm not in the best of health, a smörgåsbord [don't be impressed: I cut and pasted it] of things old and new all flared up together, and I need to focus on boring things like keeping the fridge full and the dishwasher empty, no spare energy for visits to the Bluestocking or fun and games with small pieces of plastic.

I miss you, and I'm looking forward to being back in your incomparable company ASAP

I'm sending Rosie round and I think the quokkas would be pleased to tidy up and organise a gerbil rota, shopping and preparing food and drinks for you. Meanwhile have a short stay in the hospital wing! Bessie the badger doctor will be along later

Thank you for taking a picture of my descent! The walrus is indeed making me lunch (we eat at 11, 3 and 6.30). 💙💙 to eat downstairs.

He has a lovely long sofa for me to lay down on, and has brought down the pillows I use to elevate my leg. We will now have our usual trawl through Netflix to see if there is a film we would both like to watch.

DH is ill today and I am back to being an active carer, not just a nominal one.
Am I allowed to say it is boring?

I just watched The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes on Amazon Prime - if you enjoyed The Hunger Games series you might like that. It's a kind of 'making of a villain' prequel to The Hunger Games.
