R4 news at 6pm said “who identifies as a woman” and gave his male name. I nearly fell off my chair!

Can you make out why the alleged victims would be referred to by their biological sex, as we do not I read that the alleged victim, little girl was transgender?

Ffs the BBC article about this keeps saying "had sex with the victim". It's rape if it's a minor! I despair. I'll report a complaint if I can about the wording.

I wonder if it is just a “being fair to everyone” sort of thing. A bit like when we stopped at the services when my kids were younger and one child was desperate for the loo and the other claimed he didn’t need it and I would say in a sing song voice. “And everyone is going for a wee wee now” as for some reason ds was much less resistant to being forced to go to the loo when he thought his sister was being forced too (even though the past 10 miles complaining that she needed the loo).

The three things I get from this story though is:-

1. Yet another trans woman rapist
2. Yet another Met officer rapist
3. Did the Met allow this male rapist to strip search women?

"Born a man", as the BBC says, is such odd phrasing. I can't help imagine a full-grown man ...emerging... wagging his finger at the woman birthing him wrong and explaining how it actually should be done.

Sick bastard. And why does the article say ‘they’ at one point I wasn’t sure who the article was referring too. He is a he, and did a distinctly male crime. She was a just a child when she was groomed, raped and trauma bonded. I hope he serves time in a male prison where he belongs, and I hope she gets all the support and help she needs. She’s so brave, whilst I know nothing will ever take away her trauma, or the pain and suffering she has been subjected to, I hope she gets some kind of justice.
