Sorry for my absence. Crisis with nephew, involving one of my DBs driving up from Somerset to take him for a meal and a heart to heart. It’s 18 months since our eldest DB died of cancer and our nephew is really struggling.

We have a family BBQ on Saturday, so hopefully we can get things sorted, and I’m seeing my DM for lunch tomorrow so I will also see my DB.

I feel a bit useless as I will be incapacitated for weeks from Tuesday and unable to go anywhere or do much.

Very large glass of Malbec, bargerbil, and keep them coming.

In better news, the holiday company is refunding our out of pocket expenses for having to change our holiday. It really does help having a package holiday in these circumstances.

It's a bit of a challenge tonight - are they new, are they namechangers?

In any case, pull up something comfortable, I think we have a random tree branch, sloth, and order whatever you want. As per usual Bluestocking guidelines, the alcohol doesn’t give you a hangover, getting you sozzled as much or as little as you require, and the cakes have no calories.

Morning all. I don't do nights; I'm an "early to bed puffling".
I seem to have woken up in a new Bluestocking. Thanks to whoever popped me on a van.

Gosh it's all shiny. Have we got some ultraviolet lighting so that we can see the quolls and show off the uranium glass in the display case? Not to be switched on all the time because it's a bit bleak, but just sometimes.

Good to see the breakfast menu includes avocado and cheese with poached egg, my Friday favourite. And Barry's tea.

Re punctuation, ‘bargerbils’ needs a hyphen. I read it as ‘barger bils’, which momentarily conjours up either narrow boats or shoving, and I’ve no idea what a ‘bill’ is, rather than our ever helpful bar-gerbils.

You know, quolls would make excellent night lights. Pop a quoll at regular intervals along the residential corridors, plug in the odd UV light here and there, et voilà!
