Let Women Speak Glasgow! A weekend of terfy events organised by our fabulous Locals.

Starting the weekend with 8pm Friday Night Dinner, a small dinner with Kellie-Jay and the team.

LWS Glasgow, free event 2 - 4pm on Saturday

Saturday Night dinner, drinks and dancing.

Only this morning I posted on another thread that this video and some chart of countries with gender self ID (or something) is pretty much all @suggestionsplease1has and whaddya know. Up pops this thread! She really does live rent free in your head. It’s not healthy.

Personally I too, would be hesitant about hiring a transwoman or renting a place to them. I never used to be. But the hatred from them over the last 2 years has changed my mind. Firstly I wouldn't want to deal with a male claiming discrimination if he were told he couldn't use the ladies. As an employer I would not want to deal with that hassle. Aint no employer got time for that! I want to protect my business, not put it at risk of malicious and vexatious claims. No, too much risk. Far easier just not to hire them (and give a bullshit reason why not). I fear they've done themselves over and out of jobs, they're their own worst enemy.

Secondly, I would feel distressed thinking a male was sitting in my living room typing up anti-feminist things and plotting to accost women at womens rights rallies. Why would I want to rent to a misogynist bigot who works against my rights? Same as I wouldn't want to rent to a KKK member who may be creating race hate material within the walls of my house. Both situations I would feel the need to have the house exorcised or blessed - and I'm an atheist, or at least 'cleansed' of bad energy in some way. The thought a male was sitting in my kitchen or living room typing up and diseminating hateful anti-women material and actively planning with others violence against us at rallies - in my own home, terrifies me and makes me feel sick to the stomach.

This event tomorrow isn't being organised by 'the whole feminist movement'; it's being organised by Posie Parker / Kellie-Jay Keen. You know, the person who is advocating for discrimination against trans people.

I have no idea what you are on about re: reasonable adjustments, these are of no relevance to the fact that it is illegal refuse housing or employment to someone on the basis of trans status.

To anyone reading this who is considering going to the LWS event, I would say just go. Go and see for yourself and listen to the women speaking. You might agree with some things and not others. That's fine. The important thing is to make your own mind up.

I imagine the poster is referring to the single sex protections in the Equality Act. So yes, it is sometimes ok to make facilities or jobs female only. As I’m sure you are aware. These provisions are an exception to what might otherwise be discrimination.
