Starting the weekend with 8pm Friday Night Dinner, a small dinner with Kellie-Jay and the team.

@suggestionsplease1 if you are that concerned about her discriminatory practices then start legal action, you know, like all the women who have taken legal action for actually being discriminated against (and who just keep winning).

KJK isn't renting out a house or employing people, so it's all moot.

No, it depends on someone actually doing some discrimination (eg refusing someone an actual rather than theoretical job on the basis they are trans, and then offering the post to another non-trans applicant.)

It doesn’t depend on someone advising others to do this, or others hearing this advice. If those listeners act on this advice, their actions would be illegal.

Meant to add, offering advice to do something illegal (in the manner of Stonewall) isn’t illegal in itself. Unless you were doing it in a professional capacity as an employment lawyer - that would leave you open to some trouble.
Note that Stonewall have added a “we are not lawyers” caveat to their claims about the right of trans people to use opposite sex facilities.

I see the venue in Glasgow have asked the women to leave because their banners are making the bar staff feel unsafe. 🙄🙄

Maybe you also have a legal summary of libel legislation and whether Mumsnet is the named party or whether they are obliged to take steps to identity posters on Mumsnet to facilitate direct legal action?

No one is daft enough to genuinely believe you can be libelled on an anonymous forum. This is just a tedious derailing tactic. I suggest people don’t engage. I imagine to suffer detriment to rep and credibility one would need to prove initial regard.

Ok, so this is actually a straightforward one; there is enough evidence to show that I have an identity on FWR, as there are plenty of posts that reference my history and reference a concept of who I am, so there is a context in which I am known, which creates the necessary scenario for false statements to harm my reputation and for that to be legally actionable.
