Weeeeeellllllllllll....
Long long delay at beginning of session, not sure what they were discussing but there is a lot to talk about!
I can't remember much about Jane Russell questions to Kate Searles - predictably going through emails, chronology etc to get her retaliation in first before it was Naomi's turn.
She said that DrU had always been open about being trans, right from the beginning.
NC started her much-anticipated x-examining of Kate Searles not by angrily waving copies of the notorious 'SP is a witch, let's just get on with burning her right away' emails to 20 colleagues,[which is what I'd probably do!] but by a slow, plodding trawl through the email chain to see what was sent by whom first, and to whom.
I think she was showing that the dates and recipients had been changed in some cases to hide the actual sequence of events, to make Fife look less culpable - 'we only said let's burn the witch after an email discussion of how horrid she is, so it was procedurally correct'
I think she also IDed some emails that had not been released, as they should have been, for the Feb session of the tribunal.
Having started rather un-fire-work-y, she then got on to the hard stuff: who told DU he could use the women's CR, did it occur to KS that they were prioritising one man over 200 women users etc etc.
KS seems to have started out quite combative, but then seemed a bit rattled by being asked by NC about the various categories of women who might have a very serious need for single-sex spaces, and it was made v obvious that KS had never thought about SP at all.
KS stated that DrU had every right to use the female changing room as he is a woman, and that equality legislation gives him that right, so she clearly isn't backing down on anything. Note: DrU did not have a GRC, so the EA didn't apply to him.
KS started off all Beth this and she that, but, as has happened with all Fife's witnesses, she slipped up and referred to DrU as 'he' at least once.
I can't recall any thing else - what have I missed, anybody?
