All women welcome, pull up a pygmy hog, the bargerbil will serve you a drink, the flying squirrels will bring you something to read and the goats will do...I'm not entirely sure.

There may be more than the usual amount of chaos as we transition to the new thread.

The "Get Yer Coat"?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/07/2025 13:08

The Lux Inn?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/07/2025 13:08

The Lux Inn?

Good one!

NasturtiumsAreUnderrated · 26/07/2025 14:45

The Pea-Green Boat?

The Pea-Green Boat?

I like that!

MyrtleLion · 26/07/2025 12:35

I think he likes you.

Yes, the Bluestocking decided it would be more romantic to meet in the moonlight, so made that happen.

No need for questions, it’s just magic,

sniff!!

I just tried to do a pic of you, him, me & Magnifico enjoying drinks in the garden of the Lux Inn (love a good pun) & when I said Create, the AI threw away my prompt & told me abruptly to sign in again.

wanders off, swearing

Magpiecomplex · 26/07/2025 15:43

Like this, Android? Although Boily's date was definitely cherry picking the pictures on his OLD profile.

Yeeees, Magpie. If I'm being picky, I seem to have gone grey (though it suits me), Magifico's looking a bit average & I've never seen him drink anything turquoise. Also, he seems to be married & not to me, he isn't!

Thanks for trying, though.😂 Boily's squeeze is a May beetle/cockchafer - probably best not to ask AI for the second version of his name though.

DeanElderberry · 26/07/2025 15:55

Howsabout The Cockchafer as the name for our additional pub?

waddayamean 'unsuitable?

okay, The Maybug?

or we could go Gaelic, the Ciaróg eile

Magpiecomplex · 26/07/2025 15:57

In the second version, Boily's date had disappeared entirely!

Easy come, easy go. Plenty more beetles in the sea. Or something.

Loving Dean E's Gaelic name for the pub.

Tried asking for a cockchafer and I give up. I think Gemini is being deliberately unhelpful today!

Although Boily is looking resplendent in that one.

Bannedontherun · 26/07/2025 17:09

Is that a double date?

EdithStourton · 26/07/2025 18:31

That fellow with the moustache looks as if he works for a French vineyard and is trying to convince a very unconvinced Android to buy ten twenty cases of their 2023 Merlot for the cellars at the Bluestocking.

I have in my time been crapped on by a chicken from a greay height, so I'm not convinced about the tree kangaroos.

Chersfrozenface · 26/07/2025 18:52

Red pandas are mainly arboreal and therefore just as likely to crap on your head as tree kangaroos.

Unless both pop into the Bluestocking and use the loos there.

Has Rosie done a briefing?

FuzzyPuffling · 26/07/2025 19:07

I think we must assume that all the furry Bluestocking friends are totally toilet trained.

EdithStourton · 26/07/2025 20:43

I'm still taking a large brolly on woodland walks...

ETA Typo. I'm knackered.

lcakethereforeIam · 26/07/2025 21:10

Went for a walk along the knackered road across Mam Tor today. Treated myself to some secret terfy laughs at all the 'peaks'. I'd love to know what genius thought that building a road over land with a history of earth movement was a good idea. The shivering mountain it's called. You'd think that would have been a red flag.

The alternative was Winnats Pass, which even today can’t be used by buses and HGVs. Oh, and it gets snowed in during a lot of the winter. And the gradient is a killer - surprising number of amateur cyclists can’t make it. I imagine a big horse drawn coach might have had a few ‘slipping backwards’ moments.

All in all, it’s probably not that astonishing that they went for ‘oh, well, we can reopen after the latest landslide has finished’.

I've been painting my toenails! It's all go here on a Saturday night.

Oooh! Stunning colour, subtle shimmer - what's not to like?😍

AlexandraLeaving · 26/07/2025 21:49

A stiff gin please, bag-gerbil.

I've spent the day knitting - re-energised by our Woolly Hug efforts, I've embarked on what may prove to be an over-ambitious 7-colour fair-isle hat.

Meanwhile, Bessie the Consultant Badger is deeply concerned at her colleagues' behaviour in court and just as concerned at poor @FuzzyPuffling's injury, which she is trying to tend.

Well that is well weird i just was allowed to take a composite badger garden ornament from my recently deceased customers of 10 years, as a reminder of them.

I do not remember adopting badgers in to our menagerie.
