It's changed, hasn't it, from Gay Pride - or LGBTetc Pride - to Fetish Pride.
For its first 30-ish years, Pride was about acceptance and freedom. Its ideals don't translate to sex fetishes: there are no laws in need of repeal, no employment bars against men with odd bedroom habits.
And odd bedroom habits aren't especially linked to homosexuality. Fetishes are mostly a male domain, gay and straight. So a fair chunk of Pride is now for men to showcase their sex games in public. They are mostly gay men at present, and I'm not sure it's constructive to promote the idea that these fetishes are a gay thing.
The rest of it's just a carnival, nothing to do with being gay or trans in particular. In that respect, it's kind of analogous to the Rio carnival, where the 'schools' have black leadership in recognition of their protest origins but everyone can join.
But Rio does not have fetish parades. If it did, they'd lose $$$ in corporate sponsorship. Maybe the UK's sponsors need to ask themselves how Proud they are of ball gags, bare arses and symbolic slavery.
