Sorry to say that Gangrene turned left instead of right on the way to the man-spa, bumbled outside and bumped into his cousin Gobbledygook, a young female gerbil who fancies herself as a witch's assistant. She told him he didn't need to bother with the man's spa but should come straight to her at midnight, sneaking into the garden at the Bluestocking women only pub, where she would give him a magic potion that would transform him (she wasn't exactly sure what would happen, but really wanted to try it out), and all his troubles would be over.

I did wonder what Gobbledygook was up to last night when I took my midnight stroll through the gardens.

Whatever it was I hope it washes off!

So do I! I'm sure the gerbils will be able to shift it.

Evidently, ‘Gangrene’ isn’t a reference to the disease - it’s from his cousin McGregor exclaiming “ye’ve gang green!” after seeing the results of unwise experimentation.

In July, it should be orange 😉

Cousinhood is a nebulous term when it comes to gerbils. They regard each other as one big happy family, so all gerbils are considered cousins. In this case, they are only very distantly related.

Exactly like that, yes! I'm surprised you haven't heard them at shift change, it's all "What ho, cousin!" and "Hail cousin, well met!"

To be fair, his fur is quite a fetching shade of green.

I don't think they've thought as far as living arrangements yet, it's been a whirlwind romance! I imagine they'll work something out.
